Pros:

Conveniently located. But noisy and unpleasant smell. Got bitten by some insects. Suspected bed bugs.

Pros:

Horrible sewage smell in the bathroom everyone you wash your hands in the sink and turn on the bathroom. Security was sleep in the lobby and put out a bed/cot in the lobby and I felt unsafe due to lack of attention at the front desk.

Good clean hotel in a great location
Pros:

Good budget hotel in a central location. To find it look for Fat Daddy’s on Pham Ngu Lao and it’s down the alleyway to the left. There’s actually two, the first is where breakfast is served (I didn’t have any) and the second is the hotel.
I had the double with balcony and it’s a good size (approx 30 sq m) The a/c worked well and there was plenty of hot water for a shower and amenities include a hairdryer, kettle (but no cups!) and a fridge.
A light switch by the bed and not right across at the door was a minor inconvenience while paying extra for a balcony might not be worth it when all you look at is a brick wall across the alleyway! (But it does guarantee a window, some rooms are internal)
Hotel is quiet, with only minor noise from the alleyway.
Staff friendly and helpful with reasonable English spoken.
All in all I would book again if I return to HCMC.

Great host, very clean room and quiet. Many stores and restaurants close by, Bei Vien street is a 5 minute walk. Will return.

Small hotel, but great location right next to Bui Vien Walking Street.

Rooms were quite small but clean. Staff were very friendly
