What a joy, truly wonderful experience.
Pros:

An incredible property, well appointed. There could be more soul in such a beautiful space - lots of opportunity to enhance the experience. The guest lounge is beautifully decorated but the snacks were poor for such an establishment- no ambient music which left it feeling a little austere. The restaurant was absolutely brilliant, Joao spent time sharing his knowledge of local wines with such passion. The staff are wonderful, warm, kind and knowledgeable of the area spar the front desk - they make the experience exceptional rather than the venue.

Beautiful property with impeccable service.
Pros:

Beautiful villa. Close to the coast. Must be fantastic in summer time.

Cons:

Winter feels a little isolated. The village streets are very narrow, so don’t necessarily trust your GPS if it suggests taking the inner streets, better sticking to the outside roads.

Une excellente surprise et un endroit étonant.
Pros:

Hötel avec une décoration exceptionnelle de par son originalité,des objets étonnants,beaux et originaux. Personnel attentif et heureux de partager l'histoire de la construction de l'hotel . A visiter absolument! Mr Louboutin est un vrai artiste.

Beautiful designed hotel oasis for those who enjoy the finer things
Pros:

Vermelho is beautifully designed and the finishes are exceptional. We particularly enjoyed the sense of calm that prevails when you are inside the property, it is very peaceful and serene and for those looking for a relaxing time this is the place.
The rooms are beautifully appointed, spacious, the bathrooms luxurious and each room is unique.
We slept with the windows open and at night it is incredibly peaceful and quiet.
Breakfast is served outside in the garden making for a wonderful start to the day.
We enjoyed all our meals at the property, the food quality was good and the service friendly and efficient.
The staff is friendly, helpful and engaging.

Cons:

The hotel is situated in a tiny village that offers little to do for the travellers and you have to travel some distance if you want to have a meal out. Most guests will arrive in their own vehicle, as we did, and it was useful having a car to get around during our stay.
The bar and wine service I thought could be improved, particularly the wines by the glass could be better curated.

Absolutely amazing. We will be back
Pros:

We stayed for 24 hours and instantly relaxed - staff were extremely welcoming. Beautiful surroundings and very well kept. Our meal at the restaurant was exquisite - one of the best we’ve had in recent times. The lighting was fantastic and the music was just at the right tempo. Breakfast outside was delicious-great range of delights. We couldn’t fault anything. One thing I would point out is that Booking.com didn’t send us amended directions to reach the hotel as entry road was closed due to building works.

Great but overpriced
Pros:

The best thing about VM is the staff. service is very good in every area. they give great ideas for day trips, beaches and restaurants. some might view the experience tranquil but it can also be viewed as "dead". bar was empty both friday and saturday and it is an incredible bar. biggest issue was the dining room. falls flat relative to the decor of the rest of the hotel and the food is merely decent. for the price, it needs to be amazing on all fronts
