Pros:

Very good breakfast in a lovely dining room.
Pool, gym, sauna.
Outside seating near bar area.
Small but nice room.
Chocolates and turndown service.
Helpful reception staff.

Cons:

Bar access closed to residents twice during stay due to private party / wedding (guests could still order drinks but had to take them elsewhere).
On the northern outskirts of the city, a very long and tiring uphill walk from the riverside area (taxis are cheap though, but you may wait a while for them).
Concrete accomodation block in grounds doesn't fit in with the original building.
Only 6 sun loungers around pool, so a very limited number of people can enjoy it at any time.

An oasis of calm in the middle of the city
Pros:

Beautiful hotel with a nice garden in a perfect location. If you want to be close to everything but still avoid noise at night, this is the place to stay. Will come back!

Cons:

If I have to pick something, the room was a bit smaller than expected from the photos but still spacious enough for our 4-night stay.

Lovely setting. Service with a frown.
Pros:

The hotel is located in a lovely setting with beautiful trees and gardens around it.
The pool is very nice to use as it is salt water.

Cons:

The staff were intent on making our stay most unpleasant.
One rather felt like a small child having to bow to ludicrous make them up as you go 'rules ®ulations wielded by the serving staff.
Breakfast was served particularly unwillingly and machines were unplugged 15 mins before the time window for service had even closed leaving guests in a situation in which they had to beg for a coffee.
Service with a frown I do not find acceptable in a top rated hotel.
The staff need training and manners.

Very enjoyable stay at a unique hotel.
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, gorgeous room, we were upgraded to the suite, lovely surprise. Beautiful breakfast room with a great buffet breakfast served. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Very relaxed atmosphere . Good location for sight seeing.

Lovely building shame about the fact it didn't work well as an Hotel

Breakfast was the best part of this Hotel

Cons:

information was lacking, nothing in room to tell you about the facilities air con, tv etc
There was no sign Restaurant was open for evening eating. No menus around. No signage
Pool area was very small 8 in all sun beds and guests stayed all day on sun beds. Outdoor space was too 'wild'-
contemporary gone mad
Room was not well designed and not up to five star standard.My own bed had a slope where mattress was uncomfortable.
Hotel was very far out of centre and no chance of going into city only by taxi
It is a very pretty historic feel hotel but not well run or practical, but breakfast was lovely with nice service

A three star hotel cosplaying a five star hotel

For this place to consider itself a 5 star
Hotel is a mere joke. This has to be one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Upon arrival, we found hair in our “fresh” bed, hair on our water bottle, stains on the walls that look like feces, stains in the bathroom, piles of dust, no slippers, no scales… and when you ask for them to address these issues with house keeping, nothing gets done. Instead we come back to our room unswept, crumbs left behind as if all they did was make the bed and hang up the towels. Whoever gave them the 5 star status is not considering what this hotel has become. Absolutely ridiculous. Nothing worse than a dirty stay. I will be following up with a formal complaint.

Conforto e bem estar em ótima localização!
Pros:

Quarto e banheiro de bom tamanho, extremamente confortável e com decoração de muito bom gosto! Restaurante muito bom: comida, serviço e relação custo-benefício.

Cons:

O único senão de nossa estadia foi a limpeza do quarto ter sido esquecida. Ao reclamar, fui imediatamente atendida com resultado impecável.

Classy boutique hotel in central Porto
Pros:

Absolutely beautiful hotel and property on a quiet but centrally located Porto street. Deserves it's 5 star rating. Staff went beyond the basics; even went to a nearby store to get needed items for guests. Lively evening bar and restaurant scene.

Cons:

As close to a perfect hotel experience as one can get.
