Ein Auto zu haben ist notwendig um die Umgebung zu erkunden und vor allem Abend essen zu fahren,

Fantastic resort. Very modern with great facilities. Particularly enjoyed the complementary bikes for getting around and riding out to the beach.

Service og logistik kan slet ikke følge med det ellers lækre hotel og område. Personale hyres ind hvert forår, idet hotellet er lukket om vinteren for yderligere udbygning, og det kan man i den grad mærke på personalets træning. De prøver virkelig/vil gerne, men har slet ikke erfaring, og det gør, at alt er ventetid, kø, forkert mad og drikke og svær logistik, uanset, at de kører med begrænset antal gæster i restauranterne. Det opleves som noget der ikke vil kunne fixes på den korte bane, men - som hotellet selv sagde - så kan det blive rigtig godt om 4 år :) Vær obs på meget begrænset antal solsenge ved stranden. Det fordeles efter princippet, at hver villa kun får 2 solsenge uanset hvor mange man bor.

Mooi tuinresort, geopend in 2024 dus alles nieuw. Prettige atmosfeer. Je fiets over houten fietspaden zo naar het strand waar de strandbedden klaar staan. Mooie beachclub aan het strand. Zeer de moeite waard. Rustig in het naseizoen

Verdelago is a great 5-star resort in the Algarve, away from tourists and tourist traps. It is a vast resort with many things to do. However, potential guests should be aware it is not fully-open. The resort is under construction even though you would not really notice it. They have done a fabulous and mindful job in protected guests from this. It is a new resort and they are taking guests whilst still working on the other parts. There is also a possibility your stay may encounter some snags. Hot water may run out, or a certain bathroom may not be working 100%. But the staff is the most attentive I have seen in Europe. They are professional, kind, responsive and ever-so accommodating to anything you may need. They are being trained well and that is what sets this place apart. Currently, as of this review date, they are 2 pools available and a beach. The Beach Bar is still being completed (days away I am told) and will be a great addition to those wanting to hang out on the beautiful beach. Every area of this resort is super-clean (it is new!). The food is delicious. The prices are in-line with what you would expect for a 5-star resort but the quality is definitely there. We observed a very active kids club as well. The resort is also super pet friendly. Such a great thing to so if you like pets. Enough parking for everyone, electric car charging for free, free bikes to hop on and off throughout the resort, and very secure resort. Staff are 100% 5-star.

Wow! What a truly amazing place to stay! Sure the resort is, in places, still being constructed but, unless you’re very picky, you really wouldn’t notice. And it’s such a lovely lovely place to visit - thoroughly recommended and we will be back!

Gorgeous location and soooo quiet. We asked and the resort was 40% full but you’d never notice and we pretty much had the pool and sunloungers to ourselves each day.

Spotlessly clean, although watch out, housekeeping comes real early, like 8:30 a.m. Beautiful beaches and lots of places to visit by Uber which is real cheap. We walked to Monte Gordo then got an Uber to Castro Marim castle. Then on another day an Uber to Tavira which is well worth a day trip.

What makes Verdelago so special, the staff. Everyone is so lovely. Greeting at breakfast is superb and you get a tour of what’s on offer, pretty much all the produce is local. Great wine list for lunch and dinner, also local.

Special shout out to Benjamin who always stopped and offered a lift around the resort. He’s a real gentleman and a pleasure to meet.

We tried one of the local restaurants O Infante. Didn’t like it much so had lunch and dinner in the resort restaurant. Lovely!
