It was a big surprise. Almost a 5 star hotel.

Cons:

Everything was outstanding. except 2 minor flaws:
No bottled water in the room and the dispensers in the halls were broken.
The shampoo/bath gel was mixed with so much water that no foam would come out of it. Those things look to me very stingy.

Einfach großartig!!

Das Hotel ist in sehr guter Lage, sehr sauber und hochwertig ausgestattet. Ich habe meinen Aufenthalt dort um 3 Nächte verlängert und ich würde sofort wieder dort wohnen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und haben mir auch einen Guide besorgt. Noch am Tag meiner Anreise kam Bebeh ins Hotel und wir machten die Pläne für die kommenden Tage. Bebeh ist eine muslimische Frau, die äußerst kompetent ist und ausgezeichnet Englisch spricht. Ich war mit Ohr 3 Tage unterwegs, ihr Cousin hat uns gefahren, zT waren wir 22 Stunden unterwegs. Trotz der Anstrengung war Bebeh immer guter Laune und hat unermüdlich meine Fragen beantwortet. Wir waren beim "Floating Market", in Pulau Bakut bei den Nasenaffen, in der Mesjid Raya Sabilal Muktadin, bei der Großmutter von Bebeh, bei den schwimmenden Büffeln von Nagana, im Museum Palangkaraya, in der Borneo Orang-Utans Survival Foundation in der Nähe von Palangkaraya, schwimmen in rotem Wasser, in den buddhistischen Tempeln in Banjarmasin,... Bebeh ist einfach großartig und Dank ihr habe ich viel über die verschiedenen Ethnien in Südkalimantan gelernt. Vielen Dank Bebeh!!

good hotel with bad checkin staff.
Pros:

room was good and the breakfast was also good.the staff at restaurant us very helping and good.

Cons:

the checkin staff were as if they were the guest and we were the staff.they did not every care to check in properly.did not even help us to take our luggage to our room.and very not at all helpful.the checking staff need to learn from the restaurant staff about the hospitality and kind nature.the check in staff very worst I every seen in my life.

Modern, comfortable and clean
Pros:

Our stay at the Harper hotel was excellent - our room was spacious and modern, all brand new fittings - the AC was so good! The room was cleaned every day so extremely clean. The breakfast selection was great, mostly Indonesian food which I didn’t mind but the staff did approach me on a couple of occasions and asked if I would prefer a more western option which the chef could make for me which I thought was so nice. All of the staff from the housekeeping, restaurant and reception staff were brilliant always professional and so helpful - I would highly recommend staying here.
