Übernachten im Museum
Pros:

Ein wirklich außergewöhnlicher Platz. Man kann viel Zeit damit verbringen, sich all die antiken und skurrilen Sachen anzusehen. Es ist wie eine Übernachtung im Museum. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Lage selbst sehr ruhig.

Cons:

Im Bad gibt es einen unangenehmen Geruch. Aber das liegt nicht unbedingt am Hotel, sondern am Abwassersystem generell. Das hatten wir in Indonesien jetzt schon häufiger. Mit dem eigenen Auto anreisen ist schwierig, da es keine Parkplätze in der Nähe gibt und die nächste Straße eng und voll ist.

Zeker een aanrader als je even geen saai geijkt hotel wilt!
Pros:

Zoals al in vele recensies aangegeven is dit hotel net een museum. Er staat ontzettend veel antiek zowel in de kamers als erbuiten. Het is een wilde verzameling van allerlei verschillende beelden en objecten. Wij hebben dit hotel de schattige bijnaam het "fallus hotel" gegeven. Dat maakt een bezoek zeker aan te raden. Het 17de -eeuws VOC bed stelde zeker niet teleur de kamers zijn super groot en erg mooi. Douche was prima, voldoende toilet artikelen aanwezig. Helaas geen koelkast aanwezig wel koffie en thee faciliteiten. De kamer was schoon en de airco functioneerde naar behoren. Er word momenteel hard gewerkt aan de faciliteiten waaronder een jacuzzi en er is net een nieuwe gym gemaakt.

Cons:

Er is in het hotel geen zwembad aanwezig er word momenteel wel een jacuzzi gemaakt. Omdat het hotel vol staat met vele objecten en antiek oogt het wel wat rommelig en is het ook wel wat stoffig. Bij het openen van een van de kasten in onze kamer kwam daar ook de 17de -eeuwse lucht uit vandaan heerlijk muf. Als we het hotel een tip mogen geven is het ook buiten de kamers in de algemene ruimtes het stof en de spinnenwebben weg te halen. Dat zou de geweldige sfeer en uitstraling nog meer tot zijn recht komen.

Problems with hot water problems with shower drainage flooding bath beautiful antique wooden doors that would not close and mosquitoes have a free entrance all day long. Management should do better maintenance while retaining the character of the hotel

Lovely unique hotel
Pros:

It’s the weirdest hotel I have ever stayed in, in a good way. Lots of woodcarving and some phallic symbols here and there. The suite is amazing. Close to the busy Kotagede market.

Assolutamente da provare
Pros:

Incredibile ambiente,come alloggiare in un museo.Staff gentilissimo.Ci siamo trovati benissimo.Attenzione che nella via non possono passare le macchine.Suggerisco di uscire nella via principale a 50m per chiamare eventuali taxi.Posto assolutamente da provare.

A wonderful paradise of history

Pros:

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und Aufmerksam. Auch der vorige Kontakt für einen Flughafen Transfer hat sehr gut geklappt. Das Haus selber ist von der Deko und dem Ambiente sehr schön. Auch die Zimmer sind Stilecht eingerichtet.

Cons:

Es könnte noch ein bisschen sauberer sein. Oberflächlich ist geputzt. Aber im Waschbecken sind an den Armaturen z.B. Wasserflecken oder in der Ablage der Dusche lag noch die Zahnpasta eines vorigen Gastes. Da würde ich nochmal nachschärfen. Ich würde aber grundsätzlich nochmal wieder kommen. Bei der Lage muss man sich bewusst sein das man im Süden der Stadt ist. Es sind Supermärkte und Restaurants in der Umgebung ausreichend vorhanden. Zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten wie den Wasserpalast, Sultanpalast oder Maliboro Street die nur 5-7 km entfernt sind fährt man durch den sehr dichten Verkehr aber im Schnitt 25 Minuten Taxi. Das sollte man wissen.

Außerdem ist das Bett sehr hart.

Pros:

It's extremely beautiful - I think it's more than worth it to visit once. All the historical heritage. Make sure to explore the whole hotel - there are many parts.

Cons:

It's quite old - you can feel sometimes that super huge and cool chandelier above reception is fully in spiderweb. Also, I do not get it why they keep the dog on leash, beautiful labrador or smth like this. It's probably far from the worst things you will see in Indonesia, yet westerns will be dissapointed to see.

Amazing place you have never been before.
Pros:

Amazing place. It is a palace, hotel and museum. You have never been in such a place. I would highly recommend. You will feel like a prins or princes.

Cons:

It is an old place, but excellent bed and shower. It is not a hilton style. So expect cool old furniture and style.
We have a tip for you but a box to collect funds for the restoration.

Excelente. Una estadía diferente por las características del hotel.
Pros:

Es un hotel totalmente diferente ya que es un museo. Personal muy servicial y atento a todo. Habitaciones amplias y limpias. Tiene un lugar especial para tomar café que fue uno de los más ricos que probé. Se preocuparon por conseguirme traslado a la zona céntrica y de buscar buen precio.

Cons:

Nada. Todo estuvo excelente. Lo único que la habitación no tiene ventanas.
