The Concept Hotel HCMC- District 1

Note: My concern has nothing to do with the inside of the property; it is entirely about the surrounding area. The hotel is located next to street vendors selling meats and directly in front of a very busy main road and bridges. There is trash, dirty water on the pedestrian walkway from nearby street vendors, and garbage carts, which gives the area a somewhat “slum-like” vibe. In front of the hotel lobby you can see what’s under the bridge. The pedestrian area is very difficult to walk through because of the street sellers.

I undertabd that they cannot manage the condition outside their property, but the neighbourhood still matters in choosing the place. I’m more comparing this stay with another branch of The Concept Hotel, where I previously stayed and had a very good experience (The Concept Hotel – City Centre). Based on that stay, we decided to extend our booking. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize that I had booked a different branch. On Booking.com, it appeared as only this branch. The Concept Hotel has three branches (I booked this branch on Booking.com, while my spouse booked the previous stay. At that time, each booking showed only one branch, which caused our confusion). As a result, I had to move to this location. I should have extended my stay directly with the receptionist directly to avoid this mistake though.

I recommend checking the exact address and hotel branch carefully before booking. The City Centre has less busier street and many good foods within minutes.

Staff can be helpful is taking the luggage over the stairs. There is no other way to go to lobby , if you have heavy luggage , you might struggle

The location of the property wasn’t great. Although situated in walking distance to the main shops in District 1, the immediate outside of the property is very very busy and quite dirty which deterred us from walking all together. Fresh meat markets etc. Not great!

La zona en la que está en los alrededores no es una zona muy limpia y para ir a los sitios de interés es un ratito andando.

Đặt phòng giường đôi đi 3 người lại thu thêm phí, ở 2 ngày điều hoà hỏng mất 1 ngày , ngày thứ 2 bọn minh dọn đi vẫn thu thêm phí bt . chưa thấy khách sạn nào tệ tới vậy

The outside environment is not what I am used to. If there is proper walkway, it would be perfect.

Staff were rude and not helpful

The hotel was far from the city centre. And you're in the middle of a local village - feels unsafe and very noisy.
