The hotel is in a fabulous location. Our balcony room was a bit noisy but we could see the local life and it was easy to get a grap. We booked our tour to Cao Bang through the hotel. The tour was amazing. Once in a lifetime experience!
We had 3 nights here recently. We liked the smiles and helpfulness of all the staff, the variety and presentation at breakfast ( sweetest mango I have ever tasted). It was a cool quiet haven to return to each day after the hectic noise of life in the streets of Hanoi.
No complaints from me. Do note though that the steps up to floor 7 for breakfast are step and winding, the lift only goes to floor 6. Could be a problem for someone with mobility issues.

We stayed at this hotel on two occasions as we road the Ha Giang loop in between. Staff were happy to keep our cases for 4 days and placed them in our new room when we returned. The room was comfortable, AC worked well ( it was 36 deg in Hanoi ) and well located in the Old Quarter. Hotel staff were all very welcoming. I would definitely stay here again if we come back.

The Sono Hotel is in a super location, few minutes on foot to night market, puppet theatre, Long Bien station. And the most important best staff! They recommended for us many local foods and cruise to Ha long bay. The tour was absolutely amazing. Our tour guide was friendly and very informative. Highly recommended!
The hotel was reasonably priced and good value for money. The room was clean, and the beds were comfortable, making for a pleasant stay. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The shower had great water pressure, which was a nice touch.
There were exposed wires near the TV and other electronics due to damaged safety coverings, which made us uncomfortable and meant we avoided using them altogether.
The bathroom was very small and difficult to use, as the door opened inward and there was not enough space to enter and close it without pressing against the toilet. This could likely be improved by having the door open outward instead.
Access to the breakfast room involved very steep, narrow stairs where footing felt unsafe at times, requiring us to hold onto the railing carefully.
The surrounding area had limited nearby dining options within easy walking distance.
On arrival, we were asked to cancel our Booking.com reservation and were offered a small discount to do so. However, the discount did not outweigh the potential cancellation penalties, and it would have removed the protection and support provided through the Booking.com platform. This put us in an uncomfortable position, especially after travelling and while already fatigued.

Las habitaciones no se condicen con las fotos. Parecían más amplias e iluminadas. Las instalaciones eran un poco antiguas. No me generaba mucha confianza la limpieza. El sector del desayuno era feo y el desayuno básico.
The staff were so helpful, tending to my every need, super clean and comfy room, great location and very satisfying breakfast.
Enclosed windows, so no daylight and a memory foam mattress is not suitable for everyone.

Ma chambre avait une vitre qui donnait sur le couloir. Résultat, toujours de la lumière qui passe par les rideaux des lumières du palier. Moins bonne insonorisation des bruits.
Thank you for a wonderful stay! Location was easy to walk to everything. We booked our tour to Tam Coc and ha long bay through the hotel. It saved our time and we had great trips.
The location is very close to Old Quarter. The staff have excellent communication skills and were so helpful. The room is spacious and the bed is huge. Only spent a night, but I don't mind returning as a solo traveler.
My room was right next to the elevator and I could hear people's conversations while waiting for the lift. Other than that, I was able to sleep quite comfortably.
Best staff ever. They were super friendly and welcoming, always willing to support with everything. Also the location is really good, basically near to every interesting point in Hanói.
Sheets were old and uncomfortable, we asked the team to change them and unfortunately they didn’t have any other options. The bathroom is small and uncomfortable to us.
