I definitely do not recommend this place. The property looks nothing like the pictures – it's old and rundown. There was an unpleasant smell of mustiness and mold in the room, and the window could not be opened to let in fresh air. In the bathroom, there were exposed wires near the shower, and everything was worn and outdated. I understand that you can't expect luxury for this price, but this place is at best a 1-star hotel

Not confirming our booking and charging us more than what was booked. Overall a under average excuse blaming website for an "error", then cancelling our room and charging us more when we arrived with our luggage etc. I thought these things don't happen anymore, especially in HN, the capital. Unfortunately it does and it did. Hence buyer beware. Book something closer to activities and save yourself the time, effort and stress. It is somewhat low to do that to customers that have booked through the correct channel with agreed pricing. Anyhow, that is my 2c. Hopefully this review will help at least one person, and they don't need to experience the stress that we were made to endure after arriving late to the property.

We have to walk through the dimly lighted alley. when you walk into the Lobby, you are surprised with motorcycle park in the lobby. Another surprised is you will see an Altar before you access the small lift. We decided to WhatsApp them the badly stained Comforter and extra pillow that was kept in the cupboard and several scratches on the parquet floor photo but they did not replace the Comforter and extra pillow leaving us to sleep with a thin blanket. We decided to stay on because we just need a place to sleep and to be near to Catba Express tour agency. They should highlight that the hotel is under going a renovation project so that we can make a better judgement. This memory really central to our mind.

So that was the 1st red flag for us as we entered.
The room 109 was horrible. There were holes between the doors. You could see outside. The bed was really out of shape, we could feel spring poking and the bed was not straight, it was slanting downwards at one end of the bed.

The showers handle was broken and the height of the shower head seems to be for Vietnamese heights. As you sit at the toilet bowl, the sink table actually hits your shoulders. You have to sit at an angle.

The room was really tiny and cramp.
Although this was a "budget" room - I could honestly say this is the worst experience I have has in my life. I couldn't sleep the whole night.

Nothing looked like the pictures.

I had to book a room last minute and happened to come across this hotel, it looked cheap and cheerful, but the room I walked into did not look like that on the pictures.

It looked smaller, and unfinished, as in open pipes and hanging wires, I also had a weird smell and when I left to eat and come back I found 3 cockroaches in the room!

Til that point I was willing to stay in the room but roaches are a no no, so I spoke to the front desk about getting a different room (willing to pay for the upgrade) because of my situation, but they unfortunately had no other rooms available..so I went and found somewhere else to stay.

Bare in mind I got the cheapest room!

We arrived and they didn't have our booking despite me receiving a confirmation email. They did not speak English well at all so struggled to communicate. They then had no idea if we had paid. They ended up giving us a budget room instead of the superior room as they hadn't prepared it. Despite me querying this, I was only offered a 10% discount despite paying for the superior room. Awful experience, bad rooms, awful service and very frustrating.

The description did not mention there are no windows. After the 1st night they did not clear the room, empty the bin in the toilet or put bottles of water.
Room very small.
Bathroom very inconvenient with a short shower pipe connected to the basin tap. Despite having a large space you splash the toilet paper and everything. The used water from the basin goes directly to the floor and floor the door when you wash your hands.
Entrance was from a long corridor, between 2 buildings.
