Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Pujiang Lianhang Road

A disappointing hotel with many sleepless, uncomfortable and unhealthy nights, to say the least.

Let me start by saying that I have personally travelled to over 52 countries in the world from the poorest to the wealthiest and from the safest to the most hostile and stayed at an extremely wide variety of hotels in this lifetime, to say the least. And this experience even includes actually building hotels….

The numerous staff were extremely friendly, helpful and courteous and prepared to address every need, especially Xuan at the front reception desk!

WIFI availability was good throughout the hotel but with slow Internet speeds.

One important missing feature these days are wireless charging pads for mobile phones built into tables and counters. These should be installed as a modern day convenience for all patrons! However, all the rooms outlets did have USB and C charging ports which are very practical and useful!

The room bathroom was large with plenty of water pressure and hot water. However, the walk-in shower only had a shower curtain hooked up to a simple spring loaded pressure rod which wasn’t setup properly or firmly enough as it needed to be reinstalled a few times after having fallen down. The shower curtain which went close to the floor allowed for a lot of water to splash onto the bathroom floor making most of the bathroom floor wet and slippery.

The actual queen size bed was firm and comfortable.

The hvac could easily be adjusted for a comfortable temperature at all times.

The included breakfast buffet was simple and adequate with a small variety of eastern and western breakfast items.

The small exercise room had one treadmill and one stationary bicycle both functioning properly.

The free clothes washing machines worked properly except the dryers not drying clothes at all even after 3 hours of drying time set to the proper drying settings.

Nice stay, big room & comfortable. Free laundry. Complimentary breakfast but the breakfast so do only. Few steps from hotel hot delicious noodles with reasonable price.

The hotel is located very close to route 8 subway station, which goes all the way to down town Shanghai, with just one train ride.
The breakfast has a good mix of western and Chinese food. Staffs are all very nice, with new facility and clean environment.
I have been stayed there many times, and would recommend it without hesitation, thanks!

Alles prima, die Metro ist 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Bis in die Innenstadt braucht man ca 30 Min. Betten waren bequem. Frühstück so lala, ans nachlegen musste mann immer erinnern.

The breakfast was good and clean. Room is very clean too, deserved price. There is a roof top level in the elevator, but not the roof top that we thought. And the staff asked me to pay the room fee even i paid it already through expedia, it took couple of time to double check.. may be there was a system error or something.. Anyway they were so kind to foreigners:)

Our stay was made even better by the customer service we received from Cece. She made us feel welcome from the first minute. She spoke great English and guided us around the area to find food, groceries and even baby essentials as we were travelling with our 1 year old. The room was comfortable and clean, the breakfast was delightful and overall we had a fantastic stay. Thank you Cece for making our stay extra special!

Next to a Metro stop, and walkable to an covinence Mart and several restaurants. Decent room size and modern delivery robot.

Wish the window was facing outside. And noise from later arrival tourists were tiering.
