As a loyal fan of The Ritz-Carlton brand and a Marriott Bonvoy Ambassador Elite member, I have stayed at 26 Ritz-Carlton properties worldwide, including two Ritz-Carlton Reserves. Unfortunately, my recent experience at Rissai Valley, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, was deeply disappointing and fell far short of the elevated expectations associated with the Reserve portfolio.

Throughout the stay, I did not experience the hallmark service and care I’ve consistently received at other Ritz-Carlton properties, let alone the heightened hospitality standards expected at a Reserve. Sadly, I left Rissai Valley with no memorable #RCMemories — a first for me in my Ritz-Carlton journey.

To reiterate, during my stay, multiple departments — including concierge, accommodations, food and beverage, and SPA services — repeatedly failed to deliver standard services. I documented and reported 37 separate issues. These failures collectively resulted in an unacceptable stay experience.

Sybil, I truly can't thank you enough! From the warm welcome during check - in to the prompt response to all my needs throughout my stay, every single detail was handled with utmost care. This stay has far exceeded my expectations and I'm extremely satisfied!

The hotel has demonstrated thoughtfulness in every aspect. Whether it's the special snacks prepared in the room or the 24 - hour attentive service, everything makes me feel incredibly warm. Without exaggeration, this is the most considerate hotel I've ever stayed in around the world. I will definitely come back again if I have the chance!

One of the best experience you could have in the world. Best hotel for visiting Jiuzhaigou Valley. The view is stunning and the staffs are very kind and courteous. The spa is definitely worth a visit. Amazing message by Katy with Tibetan traditions, highly recommend!

A very nice hotel to stay at for a Jiuzhai Valley trip. Came for a Spa treatment after an extensive walking trip to Jiuzhai Valley. Spa treatment from Lily was very relaxing and comforting. It was a very pleasant experience. I look forward in planning another trip here in the future for the experience.

I went to SPA w mom earlier today. Kary & Ann's services are absolutely superb.
Would love to go again.
The routine starts w a brief shower and ends with a cup of hot herbal tea. I love how their 60 mins timing only starts when the spa actually begin, even excluding the foot massage.
p.s. their foot massage has flowers floating on the water🥺🌸

The hotel is very private, and the scenery is charming. I received a very friendly welcome while I arrived. The room is large and very well furnished. The breakfast fulfilled my wishes. The hotel staff is very friendly ,whenever you passed the fontdesk you were greeted. I would like to commend Marcel,Ava,Frank,Fly, driver Xu and all staff for their assistance during my stay,to make this a wonderful journey.

I think this is by far one of the best resorts that i have been in the world, and i am by far in awe on how nice, kind and attentive, supportive the staffs are to me and my friend. Front office and Concierges were always been helpful and meet our needs all the time for example they prepared us our breakfast to go since we were in a rush every morning. We did not know how to speak Chinese, and there were language barrier but I always see every staffs try their best to communicate with us to better accommodate us for. And i have always been very happy with the effort of Housekeeping, they organize the room very orderly with cute noted that no resorts have done before, and my friend was very happy with the decoration for our 3rd Anniversary. Our spa experience was very relaxing and destress as well, on the first day we were tired of the long car drive to here, but with the massage we felt better and was ready to visit the park the next day. On the second day, after our visit at the park, we were consulted to do 60mins Deep Bliss which took away all of our muscle tension. The best thing is the therapists understood what we needed and did it very well. Lastly, after 30mins after checking out, the staff alerted us that we forgot our bag but the Hotel Manager himself was very accommodating on taking the car and bring us the bag himself. I would not know what to do if it wasnt for this hospitality team.

I was visiting JiuZhaiGou, half business half for fun. April 7th after a whole day schedule, I felt sick with little headache, runny nose, a sauna bath would be the best cure at this stage. However, it was late in the night, almost 9pm, the SPA center should be close in any minute. Mr Li, De Ming, the fellow who was on duty to run the SPA center, he made decision right away after hearing my situation, he has let other people leave but run the whole center for me by himself one more hour. It had delayed his taking off hour, extended his shift. He gave me the warmest service. You know what, this had turned totally off my under the weather, I was cured. I wanted to thank Mr Li again

We have had the best time at Rissai Valley resort and would highly recommend it for a relaxing stay!

The property is built in a very beautiful location and the design is incredible, immersing into the local culture. Very well done to the team behind location scouting and designers.

The staff at the hotel are very welcoming and attentive. Special thanks to Sharry who made our stay very special, answered all of our enquiries and helped organise anything we asked for! And to the housekeeper Alex who kept the room in an impeccable condition going an extra mile with a variety of extra little things!
