Lovely hotel, very good location with great views. The Spa and treatments are really worth doing.

Beautiful new hotel on the beachfront. Room spacious and lovely decor. Shower and sink unit in main bedroom with toiled separate. Not sure if I liked concept!
My main dislike was that two single bed were pushed together to make king size, each with separate bedding and not tied to each other. Beds were on wheels and kept moving if you turned. I can understand the concept of putting beds together but not connecting them with brackets or bed covers was unacceptable.
I did enquire if all room were like this but apparently not so do ask in advance. We were only staying there for one night so we survived but I would not have like this bed set up for longer stays.

The food was great - lovely fresh fruit every day. Very clean and the staff were always helpful.

We had a wonderful 9 days at Barcelo Playa Blanca. It was a wonderful hotel with amazing facilities, incredibly clean and rooms were fantastic.

This was pretty much the first time we’ve done a half board basis and the value was amazing, saving us a fortune for a family of 6 where we normally spend upwards of £150 a day on food and eating out.

So overall a fantastic trip, a superb hotel with great staff, service and amazing facilities.

Lovely polite staff although reception queues were more than 5 minutes waiting for any small enquiry.

Barcelo Playa Blanca is a very nice hotel.
Only down side there is no adult entertainment unless you like sports.
I would have to think twice to stay again.

stayed at Barceló Playa Blanca in June 2025 and was extremely disappointed by the hotel’s lack of support and basic care. As someone with a medical need for shade due to skin cancer, I requested shaded sunbed access before and during my stay. Despite raising this multiple times, no reasonable solution was offered. Instead, I was told to pay €900 to change rooms or move hotels—neither of which addressed the issue fairly.

Staff were often dismissive, and at times even laughed at my repeated requests for shade, which was humiliating. I had to chase for everything, from towels to written responses. Promised follow-ups never happened, and communication was poor throughout.

In this day and age, we all understand the dangers of UV exposure. Barceló is knowingly failing to provide a basic duty of care by not ensuring adequate shade for guests—particularly those with medical needs. This is unacceptable for a hotel of its supposed standard.

Hemos estado en familia durante una semana y la experiencia ha sido estupenda. El servicio majísimo, el restaurante con gran variedad (mi mujer es celiaca y el tema de los alérgenos lo controlan bien), las piscinas climatizadas una gozada y el personal de entretenimiento una maravilla (¡gracias Ariadna y Sergi, entre otros!). La playa está a escasos cien metros.

One of the most gorgeous huge hotels we have ever stayed at!! Modern deco. Loads of space everywhere. Never felt crowded. Stunning views & easy walk (10 mins to the main town) & beach (5 mins). Rooms are beautifully appointed. Buffet area large & tastefully decorated. Might be a little short on staff some days ... But not a complaint. Love that they don't charge for sparkling water!!!

What a relaxing stay! The hotel is fantastic - starts from a friendly and helpfull staff, finishing at the all-inclusive food that was delicious everyday.
I'm usually quite picky but this hotel managed all my expectations. We were celebrating my partner bday and preapring a suprises for him was never so easy! Coming back 100%

Excellent stay at BARCELÓ Playa Blanca, 2nd visit to Playa Blanca within 5 months. Shops, food places are in close proximity and the stunning beach is a short walk away. The staff and locals are super friendly and it feels really safe. Will make it a yearly visit with my family

The hotel is in an excellent location. Fabulous amenities. Only small down side is they felt short on staff. We will definitely go back

Fantastic week with nice staff and lots of space inside & out. As it’s a very large hotel lots of walking involved which we didn’t mind as it helped us get our steps up.
Breakfast nice with good selection of produce, although queuing for hot water/coffees quite lengthy due to busy hotel and regular refills required by staff.
Would definitely visit again.

A new and excellent designed hotel. It is huge and based on a cruise ship. Room and balcony very modern and comfortable. Breakfast buffet efficient and very wide range of food offered. Environment in hotel was spotless . 5 stars all round

A great hotel with lots of space and sleek modern design. The breakfast is great with lots to choose from but the evening meal selection is very similar after a while. However would highly recommend to stay at this hotel which is a great location.

Nice new hotel but lacking some staple comforts required of a holiday.
Positives - location, free parking, ambience and animation team were excellent. Its gorgeous to look at!
Negatives - food (nothing labelled and cold), room layout, maid walked in and stared at my husband on the toilet and wouldnt leave. Very strange. Didnt offer us a welcome drink, water takes ages to get hot. Our balcony and windows were directly adjacent to the gym so we couldnt open curtains or yse balcony without seeing people working out right next to us. The heated pool was nice but the cold pool was full of seagulls. Surely this is not hygienic.
We would come again for the right price but we over paid which highlighted the negatives.

Great bed and large room, very new and modern. Soulless as most of those supersized hotels
