The hotel itself is stunning and the photos reflect the character and quality of the building. Unfortunately the rooms are small and not in keeping with the rest of the hotel. The service and staff are wonderful and the breakfast was also excellent. Just brace yourself for tiny rooms, tiny wardrobes and toilet within 10 foot of the bed.
This is an absolutely beautiful hotel situated in a 12th century Muslim palace. It's the type of place that people wander by and then come back to stare into the lobby. The Old Town location is perfect for site-seeing while also being somewhat hidden and cozy. The breakfast was terrific and the courtyard setting is so lovely. Dinner was also excellent and the drinks in the beautiful bar area upstairs were top notch. We also appreciated the fresh flowers in our room, especially the 2-dozen white roses. Overall, one of our favorite hotels ever and we look forward to returning!
My wife and I enjoyed a three night stay in November. We booked our stay using the AMEX FHR program.
We booked and were assigned a junior suite, which was lovely. Wood beamed ceiling, several windows overlooking a patio from which we could just see the Palma Catedral.
Hotel has a very nice relaxation space, with two saunas. Breakfast was superb, with everything you could need (made to orders eggs/omelettes too). Specialty dishes also available for a small upcharge. On the last morning we needed to leave before breakfast started and were able to enjoy a complimentary continental breakfast in our room.
The two bars were great. We particularly enjoy the main level seating by the fountain for breakfast and in the evening. You can walk to all of old town easily.
This was my second stay at a Nobis branded hotel and I would certainly return to the Palma Nobis given the opportunity.
The hotel is located in the gorgeous historical building with massive walls and beautiful interiors. One can see thought that there were significant difficulties with re-designing of the building, most likely related to justified attempts to keep the historical blueprint - however, it did not work very well for the desired goal.
The room is very poorly designed. The headboard of the bed is at the wall by the corridor, so if anybody walks there you hear it very well. The toilette is tiny, uncomfortable for taller people. There is no space in the room to pack unless you go to the balcony, which is uncomfortable. And this is despite the fact that it is considered one of the better rooms. The gym is a joke. It is tiny to the point that you would not find any room on the floor to stretch if there is another person exercising there.
But in order to be objective, I need to say that the location of the hotel is superb, with a very easy access to the historical center of the city. Please, be aware that there is no parking and the access by the private car is not possible (I am not putting it down as "negative", it is just a fact related to the location of the hotel).
The service is good and I have absolutely no critiques related to the staff and front desk.
It was everything you could want in a small 5-star hotel. The historical structure has been tastefully decorated with modern furnishings. The room was great, the staff was sincerely friendly, and the food and drinks were top notch. All-around a very enjoyable stay. We would certainly return!
Absolutely amazing place. Stayed two nights in October. Very beautiful building. Staff all fantastic and very helpful. Really could not have done any more. Try and get a table next door at el Caminito. Same people as Barrafina in London. Need to book. will defo be coming back. chucking down with rain as leaving and without asking him the doorman offered to walk us to car park 400 yds away with umbrella. Don't get that in many places. As always the it's the little things that matter.
Great hotel!
If you like a more exclusive, boutique hotel, with premium yet understated ambiance, this is the one in Mallorca. So discreet but utterly beautiful. Our room over looked the main dining area, which was unique but quite cool. The bar was often closed for an event, but very beautiful. I'm not sure who designed the hotel, but they really thought about every single detail in terms of interior design. We loved every inch of the place.
The staff very friendly and efficient. The room cleaning staff the same.
Other guests were well dressed cosmopolitan people.
The breakfast was very simple, but good quality.
The restaurant we didn't try because we had read a lot of bad reviews and there are also some really GREAT places to dine in Palma.
The gym was very small, my boyfriend lifts very heavy weights, but it was adequate for the two of us for 4 days. We didn't try the yoga class.
We would definitely return.
Absolutely excellent hotel gave us the full sense of Majorca capital life
We booked a suite, which was spacious and very comfortable—the larger room was definitely a plus. The main drawback was the air conditioning, which was either freezing cold or off, leaving the room uncomfortably hot. We contacted the front desk several times about this, but it never improved, which became frustrating over the course of our stay.
Breakfast was included, which was convenient, though the options were fairly limited. What stood out more were the small service details that didn’t feel five-star. For example, there were not enough salt and pepper shakers for each table, which seems like such a basic thing for a hotel of this level. One morning staff even asked to take mine before I was finished (my husband mistakenly said I was done), and I had to request it back. A small issue, but it’s details like this that separate a four-star experience from a true five-star one.
The location itself is beautiful and very central, which we really appreciated. However, there is no on-site parking—you need to use a parkade a few minutes away, and the narrow streets make driving in and out a bit stressful. Another aspect we didn’t love is that the front desk is located in a separate room from the lobby. It made the experience feel disconnected and didn’t allow for the same relationship with staff that we’ve had at other five-star properties.
Lastly, the hotel advertises a pool, but it’s really more of a decorative bathing pool located in the center of the restaurant.
Beautiful hotel, great service and perfect location. Would highly recommend
The Nobis Hotel is a jewel in old city Mallorca. The 12th century palace that served as a backdrop for the hotel was truly outstanding. The decor was memorable, and our room was beautiful. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. The food was delicious…I would recommend it highly!
Hotel is stunning, the location was perfect and all the staff were excellent. From the first welcome to the hotel from the Reception personnel who recommended restaurants and places to visit to again the extremely helpful, friendly breakfast personnel. Thank you for helping to make our holiday!
Possibly the most beautiful and unique hotel in the world. Absolutely breathtaking architecture and design, world-class staff and service, a hidden gem tucked away in the historic center surrounded by all the best restaurants and shops. Phenomenal! A++++
We recently spent to nights at this beautiful hotel. We were welcomed by a friendly lady who showed us around the hotel, explained its history and showed us to our room. The hotel building is stunning and in a great central location. The room was very nice and comfortable although the bed was very squeaky which didn’t lead to the best sleep.
Breakfast was very good. There was a great choice of high quality fresh food, with the option of having something cooked by the kitchen. The staff at breakfast were so welcoming and friendly - and the coffee was very good (always important!)
After a morning wondering around Palma we were grateful to use the small indoor plunge pool and sauna. The area had towels, robes, water and fruit. It’s a beautiful little space and was very relaxing.
We spent the afternoon on the sun terrace and enjoyed some beautiful wine and snacks. Again, the staff were very friendly.
There were just two things that slightly let the trip down. On our second night we went for a meal in Palma and headed back to the hotel to enjoy a drink in the hotel bar - it had been advertised there would be some music on so we thought it would be nice to enjoy it. As we arrived back at the hotel the night manager told us there was a ‘private event’ in the bar and it was full. He then said it wasn’t private but it was very full. We explained we were residents and he said ‘try it you want’. As the bar was located next to our room we nipped in to see if we could get a table and the bar was half empty! However, the bar was full of very young people taking social media photos. As a couple in our early 40s it made us feel like we were being ‘screened’ and did not fit the vibe. Despite this, the actual bar staff made us feel so welcome, they remembered us from the afternoon, seated us quickly and were very attentive - this made us feel comfortable enough to stay. The second ‘incident’ was on our last morning at check out. We had been incorrectly charged an extra 30 euros from the mini bar - a common error which we understand happens, but the front desk couldn’t seem to rectify this. The two men on the desk seemed put out and couldn’t rectify. In the end we had to leave to catch a flight, they reassured us they would sort - but they didn’t. My husband had to follow this up on our return and we eventually were refunded. These two things are only small things, but for the quality and price of the hotel I think guests should expect to receive a slightly better experience.
All in all it was a lovely stay, and we love Palma!
The Nobis Hotel Palma has been a treat to stay in, the staff were extremely welcoming and showed us around. They made this romantic getaway worthwhile.
I had the most remarkable stay at Nobis Hotel Palma. From the minute I walked in I was greeted by the hotel staff and offered a cocktail of choice. I was then taken on a tour of the property and told the many fascinating stories about the history of the hotel. My room was gorgeous, the staff could not be more helpful and friendly, the food was delicious and the location amazing
From the moment I entered this hotel I knew I made the right decision, when you go through that magical entrance I’m convinced you’ll feel the same. The hotel had a beautiful bar and restaurant better than anything you’ll find in the rest of the city. The amount of spaces that are hidden in this hotel all with impeccable service. Book direct as they even gave me an upgrade to a suite which was stunning, fresh flowers wonderful light and historical features. The breakfast service was incredible and the best coffee I had on my whole trip! I have stayed at many top quality hotels in the world but this was one of the best boutique ones I’ve been to and the location is incredible, central yet quiet. I can’t say enough good things about this hotel. I stayed in another 5* nearby, Can Alomar beforehand and it was decent, but nothing in comparison to Nobis. It was so good I will definitely be back, just to stay there.
We couldn’t have imagined a more perfect place to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel special – warm, professional, and incredibly knowledgeable. They even arranged reservations at some of the very best restaurants in town, which made our stay truly unforgettable.
The room was absolutely magical – beautifully designed, comfortable, and with every detail thought through. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of delicious options, and both the bar and the hotel’s own restaurant offered top-class food, drinks, and atmosphere.
This stay exceeded all our expectations and gave us memories we will treasure forever. We cannot recommend it highly enough!
Stayed for two nights as a family of 4 with my kids (3 and 4 year old). The hotel is so charming and beautiful. The reception staff was so welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. I was a bit nervous that the hotel would not be kid friendly but everyone was so nice and warm toward them. As we were checking in we were greeted with a nice welcome drink, it was lovely to sip on while taking in the beauty of the hotel. The location was perfect, we walked down to a cute bakery for some breakfast croissants and cafe con leche. Our rooms were smallish but given the history of the hotel it is completely understandable. Our rooms were cleaned daily and turn down service was also provided. We enjoyed drinks from their bar, they will bring them to you at the rooftop by scanning their QR code. Overall a great stay and we would definitely come back.
Stunning restoration of 12th century Moorish palace.
The bar area combines a stylish décor within the vast and ancient space.
The adjoining roof terrace allows easy options for drinks outdoors or in the naturally cool former palace interior.
There is a playful Spotify playlist linked to a cocktail menu.
