Barceló Benidorm Beach - Adults Recommended

Right at end of Levante beach overlooking the sea.... not all ros have a sea view and some balconies are bigger than others

The staff in the hotel were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. There is building work going on around the hotel, but it did not create much of a problem

Having no breakfast because they don't replenish! Don't charge 180 euros a night upgrade if you can't fulfill

Everything was amazing. Location, staff, comfort. Room was clean and cozy.

I am writing this review still unsure how I felt about our stay.. the room was average very spacious but shabby in parts and had ants coming from the skirting board

We had 2 rooms.. one a side sea view room that over looks the restaurants and couple of bars at the side.. if it’s not the bar noise that stops you sitting on the balcony it’s the building work happening outside the room.. guess these noises can’t be helped, fortunately for us we did have a second room with a deluxe frontal sea view which was very large with 2 loungers table and chairs and a sofa so the not so good balcony wasn’t such an issue.. however just be aware of the room you book if you are only picking one room

The food was okay.. just standard holiday food.. nothing to moan about but nothing to write home about either

Drinks in the hotel nice but bar service can be slow and the price is a bit steep.

Location brilliant and the beach on the doorstep.. the main reason for scoring a 3 was the roof terrace is very underwhelming.. the photos make it look more inviting when in fact the pool is a gloried bath. Full of groups sat round the edge of the pool drinking with just their feet/ legs in.. came across very intimidating but again that’s our opinion

Overall I wouldn’t stay again.. if we didn’t book the larger balcony(600 euros extra) we would be very disappointed..

Stayed here for a week mid June. Have to say the stay was fantastic, we pushed the boat out and had a junior suite. This was brilliant as it gave us a huge outside terrace, with a sofa, two tables and chairs, a couple of sun loungers and a parasol, along with a fantastic view of the beach and sea from the glass fronted balcony.
The room itself was divided into two, a comfortable bedroom area and a separate lounge area, both with their own tv’s. The room was kept really clean and tidy by the friendly housekeeping team.
We had half board in the hotel, and found the breakfasts to be very good and the evening meals, while they were buffet style, we did always manage to find meals that also included a good choice of veg as well and plenty of fresh fish, so often we find buffet restaurants are too bitty in their choices that you end up with plates of random items, so well done Barcelo.
It was great to relax in the Santa Maria bar area at the front of the hotel and enjoy a cold drink and people watch!
The hotel is very central to the old town and shops/bars/restaurants being only a very few minutes walk, but we never felt it was intrusive or noisy.
All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful.
The only downsides we would say are if you come by a tour operators bus you will be a 5 mins or more walk from drop off or pick up due to the hotel being virtually on the beach with no road in front, not their fault. Also if I’m honest the bath towels were disappointing, being hard and scratchy, which did suprise us a bit.
But in truth we would come back here in a heartbeat just for that room with an on the beach feel!

Stayed at the Barcelo Benidorm Beach Hotel in April 2026 and what a great hotel it was. The location is perfect, on the beachfront just a few minutes walk into the heart of Benidorm Old Town.
Without exception every member of staff we had dealings with were friendly, professional and helpful.
All areas of the hotel were well maintained and clean.
Our room was perfect, great comfortable bed, and the bathroom spot on with a great shower. Even though the hotel was busy we didn't experience any adverse noise that contributed to great nights sleep.
The bar area was good with a good selection of drinks and a great holiday atmosphere.
We were half board, Breakfast and Evening Meal and all I can say about the food was it was great, good quality and varied selections at every meal with something for the majority of tastes. Buffet Items were quickly replenished.
Finally the roof top terrace has numerous sunbeds with umbrellas, seating areas, bar and small pool. The view along the beach and surrounding area of Benidorm is brilliant.
This was our first trip to Benidorm and our first stay at the Barcelo and without doubt it will not be the last. Well done Barcelo for a giving us a great stay with excellent service.

Room was clean, shower was great, bed was comfortable. We had a front sea view room which was excellent.

If I tried my hardest to pick a negative it would be the wait for the elevator and the pools very small. But both very minor.
