I highly recommend staying at the Aurea if visitingToledo. Lovely property and you couldn't ask for a better location.
Modern, luxurious, elegant and very comfortable hotel right next to cathedral in the heart of Toledo old town. Everything is walking distance. Old heritage building renovated inside to 5 star hotel. Enjoyed our stay very much. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Bed was very comfortable. Toilet was impressive, clean and modern. Room was lovely. Rooms were exactly as in the photos.
Will love to visit again.
We stayed at the Aurea Hotel in Toledo for one night. The hotel is rated 4 stars. Prior to arrival, the hotel informed us that they did not have on-site parking and suggested three nearby public lots. What they failed to mention was that the entrance to the hotel is located on a very narrow cobblestone street—only about 7–8 feet wide in some areas—and is completely inaccessible by car. This was not made clear in their communication, and it caused considerable difficulty upon arrival. For that reason, I would not recommend this hotel, especially for anyone with mobility issues. Toledo’s old town is very hilly, and navigating it by car is quite challenging. My advice to anyone staying in Toledo is to park your car in a public lot and either walk or take a taxi to your hotel.
The hotel itself was fine. It was clean, and check-in was smooth, although the staff member at reception was not particularly empathetic given that we had arrived in the rain after hauling luggage up and down cobblestone streets. Our room was a good size with a comfortable king bed and a well-equipped bathroom. The only downside was that the walls were thin, so hallway noise could be heard at night. Breakfast was included in our room rate and offered a nice buffet selection. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to the main cathedral, the Jewish Quarter, and many restaurants.
There are so many great things about this hotel but one overwhelming negative outweighs all the positives. The hotel’s signature scent is so powerful and pervasive , on purpose second morning as we walked towards the hotel, one could smell it 50 feet from the entrance on the street. I tried to hold my breath from our room to the exit but though embarrassed, resorted to covering my nose. All my clothes now carry it’s scent.
On the positive, it is perfectly located. The staff were lovely, professional, and extremely helpful. The room was well appointed and the linens were exceptional. The bed was extremely comfortable. So if you are immune to powerful scents, you will enjoy yourselves. Reserve a spor well ahead for dinner at Taberna Boltero and Skala for lunch. We also enjoyed a great meal at Marrakech
Toledo overall is not very good for the mobility challenge and disabled. Transportation is difficult. This hotel is in a very good position already literally steps away from the famous Cathedral. But going anywhere else is a big challenge.
Hotel was very good. Room not very dark at night was only thing we did not like.
Lovely room with a great view.
Front desk staff are truly lovely, informative and very easy to work with. We decided to stay an additional nite.
This is a magnificent hotel museum. Very historic and ancient and yet beautifully restored.
Angel and Kelvin went way over the top to help us - with directions, luggage in a narrow and difficult location, dinner reservations when most restaurants were closed, giving us private tour of facility, basically revered could have asked for. They were magnificent
Auroa Toledo is a beautiful hotel located in center of Old Toledo with narrow, winding streets with little parking. Staff went above and beyond -guided us to place where could park our SUV close by entrance; handled all our luggage (including 3 sets of golf clubs); greeted us with choice of water or delicious cava; made restaurant reservations on a Sunday night (difficult given many restaurants close at 5 PM and we had food restrictions); told us were to park our SUV; and capped everything off by giving us a private tour of the hotel in late evening when returned from dinner. Aurora is not only a beautiful boutique hotel, it is a historical and archaeological site. Some rooms have original wood, doors, plaster showing coats of arms or Arabic plaster carvings. It took 25 years to restore and set it - truly a remarkable and beautiful place in the heart of Old Town. Rooms vary in size but are all extremely comfortable.
Beautiful and comfortable rooms that are fully stocked
All good
Really great room.
Beautiful place .
The room was very comfortable and the bathroom amenities were great
This is a really nice boutique hotel. Perfectly situated beside the cathedral. Check in was very easy and my room was extremely comfortable. I really appreciated the full length bath. Breakfast was a very good buffet with lots of Spanish produce, plus a selection to order. I had the avocado on toast. Excellent
EXCELLENT HOTEL TO STAY IN TOLEDO.
Great Buffet for Breakfast, Great Localization,
EXCELLENT FOR A 4 STAR HOTEL
A very pleasant hotel, very well located, a very short walk from the Cathedral. The Aureo is a very nice blend of modern and historic architecture. Tasteful design with an attention to detail. My wife and I highly recommend the Aureo
