Juan was een voortreffelijke gastheer. Zijn enthousiasme over de geschiedenis van Tárbena en het hotel was aanstekelijk. Geweldige basis voor wandeltochten in de omgeving.
Ook in de nacht luidt de kerkklok. Als je daar gevoelig voor bent zijn oordopjes aan te raden.
Great hotel. Very comfortable and located in a peaceful village with beautiful landscapes. The breakfast was amazing and the staff was very welcoming.
It is not something they can control, but light-sleepers should be aware that the hotel is located close to a church. The church bell tolls each 30 minutes, even throughout the night.
Zeer rustige locatie in een pittoresk dorpje.
Kort samengevat: Eigenaar verkoopt een matige slaapbank als een volwaardig bed, laat je hiervoor extra betalen en is totaal niet gericht op het zoeken van een oplossing als je hem hierop aanspreekt.
We hadden double room geboekt met twee eenpersoonsbedden. Toen we in het hotel aankwamen kregen we een double room met 1 dubbelbed en een slaapbank. Toen we de eigenaar hierop aanspraken zei hij dat hij niets had doorgekregen van Booking.com en dat hij verder niets voor ons wilde beteken en het met maar met Booking moesten uitzoeken. Hij vond het niet zijn probleem. De slaapbank was van zeer matige kwaliteit en erg hard. Volgende dag contact opgenomen met Booking.com, en die hebben klaarblijkelijk ingegrepen want daarna was het wel mogelijk om naar een kamer met 2 eenspersoonsbedden te gaan. Echter, dit was geen double room, we hadden dus korting moeten krijgen omdat we een kleinere kamer kregen. Eigenaar heeft dit niet oggebracht en wij hebben hier verder niets meer van gezegd omdat we hier niet nog meer negatieve energie in wilde steken.

Lo que más me gustó fue la amabilidad del personal, su preocupación por nuestro bienestar. Juan me ofreció tb cambiar de habitación para que no tuviera q subir hasta el segundo piso. Él se encargó de hacernos las reservas de las fuentes y el restaurante.

We loved this little hotel. The host is so welcoming and polite. Family run for two generations and they really care about giving their guests a good experience. Comfortable bed much appreciated after 12 mile hike over the mountains that day. Brand new AC unit, quiet and efficient, everything you require is available in the hotel and rooms. Also loved the open aspect onto the Main Street in the town.
Can’t really find fault. It is very close to the church so the bells ring every hour ( and more) but that didn’t detract from a great nights sleep. The hotel is ‘traditional’ but the young host is investing and making the most of a lovely building in sweet location.
