12 York St Condo - Financial District

Extra charges and my son slept on the floor.

The location is great but the building is run down, I had issues getting the entry information prior to my stay.
The condo itself needs sone repair, the blinds don’t close there was musty smell/mold I the bathroom
Wasn’t provided a wifi password
Not a great experience over all

Do NOT do it!!! I cannot stress this enough. We booked this property due to the close proximity to Roger's centre, CN tower etc. About a week prior to our stay I started getting a weird feeling about our booking (our guest portal, sent to us when we first booked, said the property was no longer active), the property assured me that my booking was still good. Then I would ask for details about the suite and how to check in and just kept getting the same message, "we will send you details closer to your arrival date". We repeatedly asked for the details, the entire week leading up to arrival. The day we were due to arrive I ended up asking for details three times with no response from the property. We ended up, a family of 5, stranded at Pearson airport with nowhere to go. After a very stressful and long phone call, at the airport, with expedia we ended up being relocated, thankfully! Please beware of this property, and anything that may be affiliated with it. Oakwood suites (sent us the guest portal), Applewood (was the name on the voicemail that went unanswered) and guestable (the company that charged my credit card). Luckily, they refunded me all of the fees that I had paid upon booking, after I demanded it.

We were not able to stay as we were unable to get the access code to get the key. There was no response at the number provided to get assistance. Fortunately Expedia customer service was able to find alternative accommodations!!

The location of this property was excellent! My father had mobility issues so the close proximity to the CN tower, Rogers centre, aquarium, and Scotiabank arena was perfect! Lots of breakfast and food places near by, including a grocery store. View from the room featured the CN tower and Roger’s centre! Note that to use the pool, a longer stay is needed.

Support by owner was prompt and friendly. Detailed instructions. Note that the key cafe is located right outside the York 12 entrance right along the wall. Overall, would DEFINITELY come back!

Thank you for a wonderful location for anything in the core of Toronto. It was a great place, with room for everyone to have their own bedroom and no need was unmet. Check out time is a bit early, so hope to have the option to come again with a later time.

The location couldn’t be any better!. Check in instructions were simple enough. But Buyer beware - this location DOES NOT include access to pool/spa despite it being blatantly advertised in both the add (and mentioned in other reviews that host would have rectified had they known). I requested in my initial booking instructions to make sure fob accessed the pool area (given previous review) and inquired during listing only to be told by host it was only for long-term/permanent residents. Renters are being misled. Host communicates well, until you declare an issue. I requested partial compensation for lack of advertised amenities - to no avail/ghosted. Apartment is obviously meant for short-term rental use due to its condition.Table +++ water damaged as if picked up off the rainy street, floors/walls rough shape (apartment not being maintained). Long black hairs found throughout our bedding (we are a blonde Dutch family). I’m not sure the $115 cleaning fee is appropriate. Apartment served it’s purpose for a mini March break getaway for our family. We would not rent from this host again.

The unit that was rented looked nothing like the pictures, the toilet was also dirty, it had not been swept , the towels were from the 1950's, the unit had a weird smell and the shower hardly worked. As well the property makes you pay a 115$ cleaning fee which is ridiculous since the unit wasn't clean to begin with

The booking was for 12 york condo building, the day of check in found out we we’re staying at another location. Was told we had no parking and was sent an address for pay parking but the booking said there was parking included, but then was sent a link from maybe another person and there was parking included with the room so there was a lot of confusion trying to find parking. We booked the 12 york condo because it said there was a pool but the other address we we’re assigned did not have one. Very disappointed that everything that was said in the add like pool, parking included and location, which we’re the reasons why we booked at 12 york condo buidling we’re not included.

Ended up cancelling the trip as host was non responsive

Great location near CN tower and rogers Center. Pool and fitness area were not accessible to us using the key fob provided
