The place was better than expected. Staff were super friendly. Our tv wasn't working and they came and replaced it ASAP. Beds were super comfy and blankets were soft. Air conditioner worked great which was so nice because it was so hot.
We couldn't take a shower because it was just to scary, all the tiles were falling off the wall.
The website said it was $10 per night for pets and after I confirmed my "non refundable" stay they informed me that it was $30 per night for a pet. I said that is not what the website says and they said they hadn't updated it yet. I feel they should have honored the price or given me the option to cancel my reservation.
Bathroom fan not working.
Hardly any hot water at night.
For the money, bathroom does not look good and old.
Bedding was stained. Only 2 lights in room. Pillows stained.
Reasonably priced - thought it was great for what I needed.
Hotel was in need of renovations and upgrades. Room was not very clean and had alot of stains and disrepair. No screen on windows. Air was stagnant and lacked circulation. Smelt of mold everywhere.

Got locked out and had to wait 1.5 hours to get back in. Nobody answered the phones

This property is old and hotel from the 80’s. Lobby closes at 10 pm and does not open in the morning. If get out of the lobby you will be lock out and you will not get. You have to make several calls to get in. Our first room was hot due to defective window AC so we have to move to another room. We cut short our stay from three nights to two nights instead.
Room was ok for for my needs. Seems doing renovations. Around the building and parking lot was messy. Staff was ready to take care of any needs.
Good price for what you get. The hotel and room need some Renos. Updating. They were clean just in need of a makeover. The rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. We needed to switch rooms due to the heat and lack of ac. The new room had ac and they didn't hesitate to help us out. There are 2 pubs and a liquor store attached to the hotel. Both were great and good staff. Food food as well. I would stay there again despite the aesthetics. It wasn't loud either with the pubs there.
Needs updating
This was a nice, quiet, comfortable place to stay on our roadtrip to Tofino. After a few unpleasant nights in Duncan, thia was a huge step for a much better price. Will ve stating here again.
On checkout, keys are left in a bowl at the front desk for anyone to access. Someone can go in and damage the room or steal and the guest could be held liable.
Room was basically clean. The very old small air conditioner didn’t work. Other rooms were looked at and the the same shoddy old Window small units. The staff guy was friendly but hardly spoke English that was understandable. Don’t stay here. Just horrible experience.
Black mold along window, moldy coffee left in coffee maker. Stains on the walls.
