Amazing service with a beautiful location
Loved the location, the views are superb especially when you have them on the doorstep of your suite.
The food was standard, decorated and presented great, tasted ok nothing to rave about. We checked in at 4pm and check out was 4pm which by the time your breakfast is served to you the next morning (we waited an hour) its time to check out
The staffs attitude was unfortunately extremely standard offish and at times blatantly rude.
Its the old but prominent feel of because your "not a member of the golf club your treated differently" and this was absolutely the case with laceby manor.
The electricity went off x3 times whilst changing for our booked dinner reservation. No apologies, just a "its a grid issue" when we questioned it.
Went to the oak room for our dinner, started with a drink and were told when she served us the drinks that shes going to need the table at 8pm so could we please order.
After our dinner we went to the bar area, sat on the couch opposite the fire with another drink. The whole aura and vibe in there is very quiet reminds you of a church like atmosphere, we were chatting about our children and the year ahead laughing and planning.
The next thing I know, the woman working the bar is beside us telling us with a not so respectful approach that we need to stop arguing and keep it down or we'll have to leave.
Of course I challenged this, asked her who I was disturbing after assuring her there was no arguing afoot to which she replied "well I can hear you at the bar" which was 3 feet away.
My husband then advised her that when in a bar, people do talk to which she advised that "we dont have people talking loudly here".
We finished our drinks and left, I felt her eyes boring into me and it was uncomfortable to say the least.
When we went to the restaurant the following morning at 9.30 for breakfast again, church like atmosphere, the members have clearly made acutely aware of the "dont talk loudly" rule.
Safe to say we wont be returning, we clearly dont fit in with their expectations.
The Bath tub on the Terrace
Spa usage was not incuded in the (quiet high) price & neither was any hot breakfast. We booked for a very special occasion. The management wrote a note upon my request & we got some lavender spray as welcome but we felt the overall experience was disappointing (stingy). The reception staff was kind and helpful (within their remit).
At around 10:30pm on the night of check-in, I attempted to shower and discovered that there was no hot water. My sister and I went to reception at that time, but it was locked, leaving us unable to report the issue that night. The lack of hot water continued throughout the entire length of our stay, and we were unable to use basic facilities that should reasonably be expected.
At checkout, I was offered the use of a shower in reception as well as a coffee, both of which I declined. I was assured that my complaint would be addressed and that I would receive an email with further information. As of 12th of November, I have not received any communication.

Access to spa facilities for guests would be a plus
The room was very nice.
Outside the room was some kind of generator which kept us awake all night. We had to move the mattress from the bed away from the noise. Tried to contact the staff early in the morning to request to change the room so we could get some sleep but could only leave a message on the answering machine. We spoke to the receptionist around 7.30am who informed us she would what’s app the group as the manager did not start until 9am. We have not been contacted since by anyone.
It was great, very comfortable, highly recommend.
Some things in the room that were essential were missing. Bins, fridge and some more comfortable seating in the balcony
Great first impressions when we arrived, vety helpful and cheery staff in the spa.Checked in and used the gym. The room was lovely, bed very comfortable & super outlook onto the golf course. We had a pizza for lunch and evening meal in the Oak room which was delicious.
The only thing i was really disappointed in, was how miserable the staff were in the Oak room.
There were quite a few of them and felt they just didnt want to be there! No chat and worse of all no smile, a smile really does go a long way, especially when you are working in a high end establishment.

Everything, spa was great , bath on the balcony, staff was amazing, products in the spa are beautiful . Staff was very accommodating as I had to leave early in the morningbfir take away breakfast
