Floor cover was wet at some places and not so strong, but probably they've been working on it.

From what we witnessed from the Royal George hotel, and looking at the feedback with photos, I notified both the hotel and Booking.com that we won't be using such filthy hotel as reported by guests.
Instead, my wife and I went to a different upmarket hotel and rested peacefully.
Again dishonest and deceiving ratings by Booking.com.
I have demanded that I'm reimbursed totally as I didn't turn up.
I emailed the hotel and my email couldn't be delivered... I wonder why?

This property was a building site, with scaffolding all around and work ongoing, I was given an alternative, which wasn't the same type of room that I booked and very limited on parking and an absolute dumping ground to rear 1 star and lucky to get that

On arrival to the estate where this building is located, I immediately felt uncomfortable. After driving around a lot trying to find it as Google maps was telling me I had arrived but all I could see was a building site so assumed it must be wrong. In fact the building site was the accommodation. I arrived at 8pm and there were still men up working on the scaffold. Needless to say, I had the choice between a 9 hour drive or staying here and I drove home.

Everything. Very unpleasant and dangerous

The door lock was quite complicated and we got locked out once or twice but we did receive help with it. However, we did feel a bit unsafe knowing that it was a pin-code, meaning anyone with the code could get in. The bathroom also didn't feel too safe since people did try and open the door whilst you were in. Although it can't be helped, there was construction going on in the home which meant there was a good few builders lingering about, even leading to small bits of debris falling on our heads when we arrived.

The bed had bedbugs (I sat on the chair throughout my stay and couldn't sleep which is why i left every early in the morning), room was overhyped via the images posted online - not as big as it was portrayed. Kitchen dirty. The microwave stinks - I could not warm my food because it was very dirty. The toilet rough and the shower head was somehow - though I didn't bother trying it because I was put off with the way the bathroom/toilet was not well arranged. The whole environment was not tidy - from the look, work was ongoing. They shouldn't have put up for ads in the first place until they complete the work. Only thing was the guy who helped me in sounded quite nice.
