OYO The Silver City Hotel

Nothing. Run down.

They say you get what you pay for and this was cheap for a reason, very poor quality dirty sink in room toothpaste on the wall no mirror no kettle noisy floor boards doors slamming, poor toilet and shower facilities. Definitely won’t be returning

Second visit and will definitely use again

Finding the entrance (you'd think it would be the front door) was tricky and I had to show a copy of my receipt upon check-in (seemed odd) so I feared the worst. In fact the room was lovely and warm on a very cold day, clean, had a desk and fast wi-fi. The takeaway next door was also convenient. Car parking was free and off road. So despite the weirdness of the check-in everything was fine and great value for money if you just need a no-frills overnight stay.

I was actually surprised at how the clean the hotel is.
The bed was very comfortable.
Another surprise was how fast their WiFi is. Now that was the first time ever I found fast Wifi in a hotel.
The only drawback was the nearby shops.
There are two take aways shops on the left but I didnt like them so I walked further around the bend where I found a delightful Fish & Chips shop where they sell fresh Fish & Chips for next to nothing.
I also needed a bit of alcohol but there is absolutely no Off Licence anywhere near.
I had to walk all the way to Immingham where there is a Tesco & an Aldi supermarket. So yeah. Good hotel & I would stay there again

Great little hotel for an overnight stay of no frills is ok. Clean, comfortable and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.

Von außen sieht die Unterkunft nicht wirklich ansprechend aus und ist schon etwas heruntergekommen.
Das Zimmer selber war sauber und das Bett wirklich sehr bequem. Es gab auf der Etage mehrere Gemeinschaftsbäder (mit Toilette, Waschbecken und Dusche) die auch halbwegs sauber waren.
Leider war es etwas laut wenn die Türen der anderen Gäste immer zuknallten sobald sie ihr Zimmer verließen.
Der Inhaber hat mir geholfen mein Gepäck nach oben zu tragen. Bei der Buchung über Expedia gab es aber wohl irgendwie Probleme, er konnte meine Buchung erst nicht im System finden und nachher meinte er, dass ich meinen Aufenthalt noch nicht bezahlt habe, obwohl ich dies direkt bei der Buchung getan habe. Nachdem der Inhaber sich mit Expedia in Verbindung gesetzt hat, hatte sich das Problem aber scheinbar schnell erledigt.

Die Umgebung bzw. der Ort ist nicht besonders und auch eher klein

A great little place. Host was welcoming..Room is just what is needed for an overnight stay for work. Very clean, modern and decorated to a high standard. Very comfortable bed..TV in room. Shared bathroom has good shower. There is also a nice kitchen to use to make a bit of food. I will be back.

Very basic, very clean room, no tea/coffee facilities, kettle yes, no mirror above sink, to in wrong place, very friendly staff, can’t fault him, smiley, helpful.
Area around hotel needs a lt of work, car parking, plants, seating area, map of local area, places to eat, drink, interest.
I do realise the hotel is mainly for people coming to work in the area but if they had restaurant facilities then would be willing to pay more.
3 stars the reason for the mark up plus I did inject to having to show, which they copied my driving licence.
Not on, especially when I booked with a reputable company, who had all my details.

Very good stay and mr Zakaria was very helpful and always go far and beyond to help.
