OYO The Golden Cheval Hotel & Shisha Bar

I have only given 3 stars because the place is still getting renovated but they are doing well.The couple have only had the place for a month and i wish them every success

Beds are werry small

This hotel was clean but very basic..
beds were comfy. Great sea views…
It needs a lot of work doing to modernise the decor etc…. It’s the little things that stand out.. like the tv and tv bracket from the 70’s…
A re-grout of bathroom tiles would look clean and fresh..
the furniture is just basic cheap mud match…
This hotel has the opportunity to be a great place ideal location.
Just needs finer details doing then it would be excellent

Read some bad reveiws but can honestly say it was clean comfortable and a well run hotel only downside is theres no bar in there but enough places close by so wasnt a problem

The hotel was adequate for a couple nights sleep, well not full sleep, but it was clean enough to lay our heads and be a base camp. The chap that checked us in was friendly, polite, smiled, showed us to our room and even carried the large suitcase which we did not ask for, but was a lovely touch. The room was big enough for what we needed, clean enough, only downside was one pillow per person, so sleep did not come easy and a lot of broken sleep even for the kids. Take an extra pillow if you need more than one. The hotel is in a fab location, tram stop right outside if you dont want to do much walking, however, the longest walk was only about 30 minutes to south pier, but then we do have 2 younger children who like to stop at all the shiny things. To summarise, clean room, friendly receptionist, not overly comfy for a full night sleep, great location to see and do so many things.

Disaster sent me messages before hand about 36 hours before saying couldn't accommodate me. Won't book with oyo ever again because of this experience!!

Absolutely nothing. No heating no hot water until we complained

Rooms weren’t ready when we came to check in and the free parking is on the street behind if you can find a space. Cheap hotel if you just need somewhere to lay down, walls are very thin so dont expect to sleep much

Bed was comfy and the room is a good size. The place just needed a good clean the floor had dirty stains all over the carpet the floor looked like it had never been hoovered we got 1 hand towel for 2 people go dry hand and dry body with after shower. I opened one of the draws to just put clothes in and there’s just some broken blinds in there and the draw had what look like coffee stains in it cup marks and a dead village of flys. I know the property only cost £32 but a quick hoover wouldn’t hurt and the bed sheets needed washing as they was stained. But apart from that if you want somewhere your just going to put your head and don’t care about hygiene it’s the place for you.

Bed sheets not been changed...stains on towels...part of ceiling in bathroom hanging down...lady on reception was nice but in pyjamas....good shower though

For the price the hotel was ok, we booked a sea view room so the view was brilliant can’t fault it for that but when we arrived at first our tv would not work and there was also an empty drinks bottle in the room the sides were black and had not been cleaned, they then moved us to a different room and we asked for ONE extra pillow for my elderly grandmother and they said they didn’t even have one pillow....what hotel doesn’t have spare pillows? This room was also not cleaned as the sides were black with dust, the carpet was dirty and there was also a hole in our ceiling, only thing clean about the room was the bed which was actually rather comfy apart from only having one pillow which was of the cheapest quality imaginable, the staff member was also ok mannered but was rather useless to be honest

シングル・シービューを予約したが、最上階でエレベータがないから昇り降りがもう大変。（さすがにキャリーケースは上まで運んでもらいましたが）。せっかく海側なのに窓が小さく、かつブラインドが横幅の4分の1占める。安い分ネダン相応。
スタッフは親切でない。(オーナーらしい人は親切だったが、ほとんどホテルにいなかった）。中心部にある立地は良い。

Was clean and pleasant just could of done with some towels

Was awful dirty staff never spoke English. All round awful would not recommend to everyone or anyone

It was on the water front and close to all the action

I booked a deluxe twin room with sea view, when we eventually found staff to check in we were told the room wasn't ready despite us arriving an hour after check in begins, so they told (not asked) us to wait in the bar and the room would be ready in 5mins, they finally turned up with the key 50mons later. The room was dusty, with holes everywhere ceiling tiles out of place or broken, condom wrappers on the floor, chewing gum stuck to the wall, paint flaking off the walls ,windows you could barely see out of. There was a TV with no remote so couldn't use it, the beds were like rock. There was a kettle with a few tea and coffee supplies but no spoons to make a drink properly. There is no way on earth that this was a deluxe room at all and I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone. I would've loved to discuss my findings with staff but the only time I saw anyone was at 6:45am when I asked where the nearest newsagents was, I intended to discuss it with him when I got back about 15mins later but he was nowhere to be seen not was he around when we checked out at 9am.
