OYO Ivy Hotel

Man on Reception couldn't care less. The room stunk of weed and then found a blunt. Wallpaper ripped and walls stained. TV wasn't programmed and couldn't be programmed so useless. Dirty shower and some sort of grime in the corners in the bathroom. Bed held up by blocks. Dirty drawers. Cracked mug. Under the beds were filthy and had old bits of toys underneath. At breakfast, the same man who was on Reception and the only member of staff we saw, had to be woken up to come and provide breakfast at nearly 9am. We had to call the Reception number to let him know no one was here for breakfast service, but was hung up on for the first call, so had to call back again. The bread was mouldy. Muffins had been left out since the day before. I cannot describe just how bad this hotel is. We didn't eat the breakfast as not only was the food appalling but the hotel was filthy. Avoid like the plague - or possibly catch the plague while visiting!

The room is a disgrace , mould on the blind in the bathroom, stains on the wall, found a ciggerette end on the floor, no hot water,, no heating, the fan was really dusty

Room was very small and looked nothing like the pics on Booking.com.
There was nowhere to hang anything up.
There were 3 sockets in the room, all at least 4 ft high up on the walls.
The kettle could not be plugged in without holding it while it boiled which was pretty dangerous.
The light switch looked like it had been smashed and taped back.onto the wall.
No curtain or blind in the bathroom
The shower base was filthy.
The corner of the bathroom ceiling was mouldy

Hotel was very noisy with doors banging at 3am and people arguing outside room hardly slept at all in the room. The room was very damp and cold on mornings. Had to leave early as partner had chest infection and daughter did not feel well. Only had 3 nights instead of 5 as medical issues so lost out due to damp room. Our stay was not very good at all unfortunately we would not stay again as hotel not in good condition.

Cleanliness wasn't great. Broken window latch in bathroom so couldn't shut properly and left the room really cold. Bed was broke and had to leave at midnight due to being bit by an infestation of bed bugs which proof of. Can't say about breakfast as like I say couldn't manage the night in there fairly disappointing because it could and do better.

Poor cleanliness, carpets not hoovered, dust everywhere, bed was falling apart, mattress springs poking us in the back, rubbish from previous visitors under sides, lock for door falling off, just terrible hygiene. Left at 5am after zero sleep. Would not stay again.

The hotel is a little run down is in need of a bit of maintenance

I was kept awake all night from 9PM until 8AM even though I had to check out at 10AM I was still awake at 8AM because a woman in the room opposite me kept bringing men into her room every 20-30 minutes and you could quite easily tell that she was having sex with plenty of different blokes as I could hear her moaning all night and up until around 7:30AM which is when it all stopped

It needs to have a revamp and booking.com to go and check it out before they send any of their customers there not very happy
