Clean room
Wonderful hotel. Great location. Comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay
Very clean, breakfast was great. Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable for the area.
Lovely hotel within walking distance to Hyde Park and other areas. Rooms are a little small but very well kept and soundproof. Staff is very friendly and helpful.I would definitely stay here again.
Great London visit. Enjoyed BBC Proms. Nice day trip to Windsor Castle, Stonehenge and bath. Hotel was great and great location close to Paddington station.
It wasnt bad face wash sink was too small.
Everyone was professional and friendly. The room was tight with a king bed, but that's to be expected in London. The furnishings and feel were top-notch. I will be back.
Staff was friendly, efficient, and accommodating. Lovely property.
I had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel Bellevue in August, and it truly exceeded my expectations. I opted for one of the cabins, which, while compact in size, was perfectly designed and very comfortable. What impressed me most was the incredible value for money, at £190 per night, it is almost impossible to find such a refined and elegant property in the heart of London at that rate.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with an atmosphere that combines charm and sophistication. Despite the smaller room category, the attention to detail, the quality of the finishes, and the overall ambiance made my stay thoroughly enjoyable. For travelers seeking both comfort and style without breaking the bank, the Grand Hotel Bellevue is a hidden treasure I would wholeheartedly recommend.
My partner and I had an incredible stay at the Grand Hotel Bellevue. We were in town for a wedding and we needed somewhere in the Paddington area to be near other guests, and the Grand Hotel Bellevue was recommended from another friend who has stayed there. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice!
We stayed in an Executive Room, which was a good size for the two of us and had a small terrace (which wasn’t accessible, but did provide additional natural light). We were there during a warm week in the summer, and the A/C was highly effective and kept us cool. The location of the hotel was also especially convenient — an easy arrival from the airport via the Heathrow Express, just a few tube stops or a leisurely walk to the main attractions, and around the corner from Hyde Park.
The best part of our trip was the staff. My partner surprised me with decorations and cupcakes for my birthday, and he coordinated with the staff in advance for recommendations and delivery before we arrived. They also wrote me a personal birthday card. They were so warm and welcoming. The boutique nature of the hotel makes it feel like a home away from home, including booking private access to the small gym (it can really only fit 1-2 people). We never took advantage of the bar, as we were mostly on the go outside of the hotel, but it was great to know it was an option and was very cute.
Overall, we’re so happy with our selection and would definitely choose the Grand Hotel Bellevue for our next visit.
Had trouble booking with the Hyatt Globalist program but I don’t hold it against the hotel since the front desk handled the issue well through a direct phone call. As the other reviews state the rooms are small but since I was traveling on my own for most of my stay it was perfectly fine. I just had to be careful turning on the water otherwise it would spray all over. The linens and toiletries were very nice. I even went so far as to buy some of the lotion at a local boutique. Breakfast was the same every day but there was enough variety to be satisfying.
The location was very convenient- several minutes from Paddington station and bus stops.
Lovely hotel and very convenient from train but not in the best of areas. Hotel did a good job
The room was noisey and the door is close to the next room so you can hear loud door opening and closing. The bathroom shower curtain had mold on it. The mini bar had several items missing on arrival which I brought to the attention of reception staff as i did not wish to be charged for items that I did not consume. The girls at reception were pleasant however their manager was not so. I did not feel welce and left earlier than planned even though I could have had an extended check out as a gold member. He was not interested in appeasing a situation and seemed to have very poor people skills so I am not sure how he became a manager.
We got one of the smaller room and it was small but I did know that going in. Bathroom sink was tiny and you couldn't wash your hands without gettting the floor wet, but the shower was good size. Lots of food options in the area and a beautiful are of new building and food option along the canal just a couple of blocks north of the hotel.
We chose the hotel for its proximity to Paddington Station. Very glad we made this choice. The renovations are beautiful, the room was really nice.
We booked a double standard room which was so tiny. No place to put luggage. The bathroom was so tiny, an acquaintance described it like a coffin! The hotel upgraded us to a bigger room ( at cost) but was so much better. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Hotel was a short walk to Hyde Park & Paddington Station, very convenient.
What makes this hotel special is the staff. The gentleman who helped with our bags and the young woman at the desk were welcoming, friendly, polite, and very helpful -- the kind of service so rarely seen when traveling these days. They made us feel like guests, not just customers. The hotel itself is lovely and perfectly located for Paddington station. The one downside is that, as others have mentioned, there is literally nowhere to put your clothes, even in a superior room -- no hangers, no drawers, not even a suitcase rack. Even small rooms can be made more accommodating, so I hope the hotel will rethink the use of limited space; I'd much rather have somewhere to hang up my clothes than have an extensive mini-bar!
Overall a really good stay.
The pluses: super friendly and helpful staff; a nice size room (if you upgrade); comfortable bed and bathroom; a/c works great!; cozy bar; super close to Paddington Station if you want the convenience;
The negatives: this hotel is not an accessible hotel; the elevators do not go to all the "floors" where the rooms are, so you will have stairs up or down to your room. This was not an issue for us, but could be for others. As other reviewers have noted, the halls can be small to get luggage though, but I wouldn't say any more than a normal hotel in London in an older building.
The other negative is not about the hotel, but about the location. This is not a particularly charming part of London. BUT -- it is SO convenient to Paddington Station that it may be worth it. For this area, this is the best hotel because it is a really nice hotel, and you are only a 5 min walk away. A few blocks further away from the station and the neighborhood gets a lot nicer. So.. stay here for a great hotel in a super convenient location. But. if you want a more charming part of London, there are better neighborhood options.
The service was excellent; the room small but perfect.
The hotel is very well connected as Paddington train and underground stations are nearby.
