I booked this hotel a days notice out as I had a last minute flight from London Gatwick. We arrived quite late but was welcomed warmly and checked in right away.
We were also offered a couple of complimentary drinks which we enjoyed before bed!
Room was ground floor, and absolutely grand for the night that we needed. Very comfy, shower was super and lots of lovely tea and coffee selections in the room which is helpful with an early start.
The only thing to mention if anything was the room was quite warm when staying, the radiator was off but we just opened a coupleof windows.
Would certainly stay again!
My Son and Daughter-in-law recently held their wedding at this hotel. It was one of the best places I've ever stayed. Management have changed hands during the planning of the wedding and I have to say, the people that run the hotel now are absolutely amazing, friendly, helpful, understanding, kind, professional, supportive and just darn nice. The hotel was clean, comfortable and gorgeous. Highly recommend
Clean, comfortable and quiet.
Was disappointed though there was no evening dining services. Had to go out for dinner, which was not on our plans. Our intention was for an easy overnight accomodation in between flights ie didn’t want to go out again (another cab) to get dinner. Otherwise, a nice, comfortable and clean traditional English country accommodation, with convenience to Gatwick airport. Keeping in mind, distance from airport was £25 each way.
Would have liked some night lighting in downstairs areas in evening/night time. Everything was in darkness except for office area, which made it a little less welcoming.
Very clean room basic but had exactly what we needed. We were round the back which actually really helped because you are right next to the airport so it wasn't as noisy as we expected. Bed was comfortable so bonus points and ample parking. We would stay here again if we fly from Gatwick in the future. The lady on reception who checked us in was also very friendly and informative
I should be sure to mention that we were travelling during what I assume was the offseason. That being said, the place was empty and the staff was adequate. The rooms were clean, but the fridge and TVs were broken. It was very handy to have a place so close to the airport, but I probably wouldn’t stay again, certainly not for the price.
This place was ok. The walls were very thin and you can hear the people next door. Very convenient and close to the air port
Room 4 was nice, however rooms 5 & 6 (external) smelt a little damp. Some mould in the shower cubicles.
Reception lady was very pleasant and helpful.
The front staff were very unfriendly and unwelcoming. We reserved a king bed and did not get it, our room had a queen bed. We would not stay here again
The hotel is very convenient for the airport. The rooms are very comfortable and the bathroom very nice.
Just a brief overnight stay but room very comfortable and pleasant staff.
Lovely room . Great location for an early flight at Gatwick . No restaurant but as long as you are prepared in advance it’s a great pre holiday option
Superquick getting into the room, friendly reception
Having booked what we thought was a room in the main building, imagine our surprise when on arrival we where given a key and directed what can only be discribed as a small converted garage within the guadrangle. One small window for ventilation and a fan the size of a chinook helicopter and twice as loud. A permenant light outside like a football stadium floodlight ensured that any chance of sleep would be minamal, paper thin walls ensured that we would be serenaded all night by a guest who's snoring decibells could only be admired and only disrupted by the intermittent noise of landing and departing aircraft. Ended up watching tv untill our taxi arrived in the early hours.
Whist I Appreciate the hotel cannot be reponsible for the highly vocal snoring or being located underneath the final airport approach, I would suggest that any further room additions are more carefully considered in respect of associated noise (lights switching on and off, TVs, and of course snoring. In my opinion hotels of this nature should not be erected as close to a major airport unless sufficiently sound proofed. Ihave had previous stays at some of the other hotels adjacent and enjoyed a pleasant start to my vaccation.
Please maple manor advise customers of your proximity to the airfield and let them decide before its too late. Shall not be returning anytime soon and only then as a last resort!
Great family stay before our international flight out of Gatwick. Great location, friendly staff, and very clean.
Good hotel, nice staff. However, there is no elevator
Room was very well decorated and in excellent condition. Generous amount of in room consu.ables ie coffee, shampoo etc. Good parking, exterior in good conxition, ni ce lawn. Staff are very helpful and polite.
Property recently updated, clean - i had a tiny room, which was fine, just needed a room near the airport. Great bathroom/shower. Great continental breakfast/coffee. Despite being less than a mile from Gatwick, Uber was $30 at night and $17 the next day, and took about 15 minutes.
Pleasant stay but needed the winows open which made sleeping very difficult due to aircraft taking off right next to the hotel on the first day slightly quiter on the 2nd day with a change in the flightpath, however to be expected with a hotel so close to Gatwick airport
Beautiful space. Clean and comfortable
It was a pleasant surprise to find this place. We felt right at home, not only because of our stay, but also because of Alina's incredible kindness.
