Clean plates each visit to the buffet !!
Pros:

2nd stay - excellent location , lovely room, good breakfast & friendly staff.

Cons:

The buffet had a fantastic variety and great food, but they really need to make sure guests use a fresh plate each time. I saw people reusing dirty plates, and utensils were hitting those plates when getting food, which isn’t very hygienic.

The Hotel location is excellent & staff are helpful & attentive. very obliging staff & nothing is too much trouble. Well done to you all

Cons:

Two large glasses of wine £34. This is not acceptable!!!!! A complete rip off!!! we have just arrived at Dartmouth & ordered 2 dbl brandy & cokes for only £25. Mercure Hotel you need to get your drink prices sorted!!!

I'm finicky about my food so there was only a small amount of the main meals I liked but what I had was good. But the other person was happy with the menu.,the desserts were excellent

It was good apart from the food and the weather.
Pros:

Location and price were great!

Cons:

Food was average at best.
Dinner in restaurant: dry few options left on the menu to choose from.
Pasta: watery and tasteless.
Ribs: Very small portion.
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs were like junket
Sausages were more breadcrumb than pork.
Bacon … all stuck together

Overall though good value for money
Pros:

Good location, decent food, helpful staff

Cons:

I had to move rooms many time because the first room wasn’t clean, coffee stains, old crisp packets and pubes…there was also seagull mess on the windows including in the restaurant. There were also ants and flies in the restaurant.

Pros:

Beautiful hotel right at the seafront of Paignton. Modern, stylish and most importantly CLEAN!!!
Staff were very welcoming, friendly and really accommodating. I have stayed for business and will be staying again, but would certainly book for a trip with the family as well, there is plenty to do in the area. Food was also very good!

Great location. Clean comfortable rooms. Great staff.

Cons:

Check in was very slow. One person on a Friday afternoon. Staff member spent several minutes on the computer before they checked me in. Need more staff on checking at busy times.
