The room is extremely comfortable with exceptional view of the gurney bay. Walkable distant to some nice restaurants/hawkers and shopping malls like Gurney Plaza, also easy access to the city centre for more local food. There is a cafe with local malaysian flavored cheesecakes that worth a visit.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Penang Marriott. We booked sea-view rooms, and they certainly did not disappoint. The breakfast spread was excellent. Special thanks to Zac and the front desk team for being so warm and helpful throughout our stay. We hope to return to this lovely place again soon.

We needed a good break after a busy year and Marriott Penang did not disappoint. Our entire stay was wonderful from the friendly & courteous staff from reception, concierge & room cleaning staff through to the waiters at the restaurant & bar. Our room was Seaview and wonderfully appointed, clean & comfortable. Location was fantastic. We walked to Gurney Plaza & Paragon every day (takes about 10 to 15 mins) and did refreshing morning walks along the promenade opposite the road. We left there very happy & revived. Every cent spent there was worth it.

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Penang Marriott Hotel. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety, and the bar was a great place to unwind. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful.
The facilities were impressive. We really enjoyed the swimming pool and steam room. The location is also very convenient, within walking distance to eateries, malls, and Gurney Park.
In-room dining exceeded our expectations. Room service was top-notch, and the turn-down service was a lovely touch. We also had the New Year’s Eve dinner buffet and thoroughly enjoyed it.
A special mention to the team for decorating the room for my wife’s birthday and surprising us with a cake. Such a thoughtful and memorable gesture.
Overall, a flawless experience and truly deserving of a 10 out of 10. Highly recommended, and we would gladly stay here again.

Firstly the location was perfect - 'sweet spot' along Gurney Drive with key attractions and amenities not more than a 15 minute walk away. The hotel facilities were modern and very well-appointed with the environment and rooms very clean and luxurious. The whole experience was made very smooth and hassle-free by the wonderful response and attention to detail by the staff, led ably and dedicatedly by the Loyalty Manager, Ummi Khaleida, whom I had the privilege and pleasure of communicating with prior to the trip to iron out some details, and also in person when she greeted us at the lobby and kept in touch with us throughout to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable! Also good service and response to queries and issues by the front desk team - also a special 'shout out' to the wonderful staff at the M Club Lounge for being very accommodating and always serving and entertaining us with warm smiles. A wholly meaningful and pleasant trip to Penang made all that much more wonderful with our stay at the Penang Marriot Hotel! Definitely coming back!
