We had a wonderful stay at Penang Marriott Hotel. The location is excellent, with easy access to shopping, dining, and the attractions of George Town. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed, with comfortable beds and stunning views. What stood out most was the hospitality of the staff, who were consistently warm, attentive, and professional. The facilities were well maintained, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of delicious options. As a family, we especially appreciated the welcoming atmosphere and the hotel’s attention to detail.
While the overall stay was enjoyable, there were a few minor areas for improvement. The swimming pool area can also get crowded, particularly during weekends and school holidays. Other than these minor points, the experience was very positive.
Hotel staff are lovely, rooms are big and beautiful with all the necessities you need. Close to big shopping centres , street food and by the water. Food was very nice and tasty.

The waiting time for beakfast was quite long for a 5 stars hotel.
Our room was ready ahead of time! Ms Khalieda Loyalty Manager was there to greet us on arrival (we want to believe it was intended :-)) - she was very friendly, knowlegeable and informative. The welcome cocktail and complimentary drinks in the room minibar was a pleasant surprise. The welcome card greeting us in the room from the Housekeeping PIC - HiMon was a very personal touch. The room was beyond our expectations - finely furnished. Exquisite tub and shower. The sea facing window gave us the wide view of the new esplanade, Penang Bay and Gurney Drive - waiting for us to have a breezy evening stroll or jog in our next trip. Breakfast was wonderfully elaborate with broad local and international options. Ala carte dining @ Sago Level 2 was sumptuous and have generous portions. We are happy to find a new home in Penang. Do expect us to return!

Good breakfast, great room size and no noise from neighbors
The bed was a bit too firm for me
I love the cleanliness, services and breakfast. Penang Marriott the best!
The location and the room size
1. The wardrobes in the room did not have enough shelves to arrange our clothes
2. Electric switches were hap hazardly placed. One bathroom light switch in the bathroom controlled a bed side lamp waking us up every time the bathroom was used!
3. The shower area did not have anti skid mats and the floor was slippery
4. There was a mosquito in the room on the last night that woke me up.
5. We were told that children are not allowed in the executive lounge between 5 and 8 pm and did not let our 14 year old go. However we saw young kids there during that time.
6. No fire escape or evacuation plan visible in the room.
7. Not enough hooks or racks to hang wet towels in the bathroom
8. Not worth the price. Other hotels in the George Town UNESCO Heritage area are better. This hotels location is hardly an advantage as it only takes a few minutes to travel from Gurney to the Heritage area and cabs are very cheap

2 rooms ( 1 plate each with 2 slice pineapple + 2 slice water mellon + 3 berries ) - we expect full plate
Misscomm issue - we booked 2 rooms with sea view & requested to be next door as we have kids that will keep going in out both rooms but was told room avail only with diff floors ) Nobody call us to inform the unavailability buy we did called 3 times to remind our request
Upon check in & insisted to our request your frontline officer managed to gave us room 1426 & 1422
I hope you ll be more professional handling this issue to make sure it wont happen agan
