Hunday Manor Country House Hotel

Great for a business trip

The room we were in was not very comfortable the bed was old and small
The tv was small
The step from the shower was far to high with no grab handle
The stairs were to far steep
The dining staff always seemed to have some drama going on
We decided to book out a day early the reception didn’t even bother to ask why , gave me the impression that they were quite used to this practice
Will definitely never return to the Hunday and will seriously consider whether I will use your booking site again

Very nice hotel in great location overlooking the sea. Would recommend it.

The hotel is under construction so allowances have to be made, but the room we had was ok, bar the bathroom mirror did not work

Had a lovely holiday. Hotel was lovely, clean and inviting. Staff were really friendly and helpful.

Lovely old building going through major works.Good as it is, can't wait to see it finished.

Great overnight stay

An excellent location (except for Workington!) for access to the Lake District.
The staff were all great, helpful and generous.
Good bar and Sunday roast.
I just hope the planned renovation doesn't ruin the atmosphere and period features.
We'd definitely go back there.

Beautiful outlook from the hotel.
Dining choice was good. Unfortunately we were sat right next to a loud group. Why? No other people in room.

We were visiting for 4 days,hotel is beautiful from outside bit of work being done around the grounds but did not interfere with our stay,staff are lovely,very accomodating for all our needs.

This is the second time my wife & I have stayed at Hunday Manor and it won’t be the last! Despite the fact that the hotel is undergoing some major renovations, the main areas are unaffected and the staff so friendly.

The breakfast is also worth a mention which a wide variety of options, including continental and cook to order full English.

We highly recommend this hotel, which is situated in a quiet countryside location on the outskirts of Workington.

Beautiful building, great staff and amazing food. Just about to go under refurb with exciting pictures and designs of proposed updating and improvements are scattered around the hotel. Best wishes with that 👍

Definitely need improvement especially the mattress

We enjoyed revisiting Hunday. Our last visit was 9 years ago.

I was a little disappointed to see Haigh Whisky is no longer served. When we first stayed here, Barry introduced me to Haigh cocktails.

We will revisit when the hotel refurbishment is complete.

Stayed for two nights lovely place very clean .it's in the process of being returned and what had been done looked very good .breakfast was excellent and all the staff we came across were very helpful and friendly.would definitely go back and recommend it .lovely couple of days

Even though the hotel is under refurbishment it did not detract from our stay. Room was nice and the food was excellent and great value. Staff were very pleasant.

Absolutely fabulous stay, staff were all fabulous and friendly, room was comfortable and clean, location was great and with lovely surroundings, will definitely be returning, food was excellent, breakfasts cooked to specifications and served hot and promptly, thanks for a fabulous break
