Personnel très aimable et hôtel très bien situé à proximité d’une station de métro et dans un quartier sympa.
La chambre était de taille correcte avec des équipements très modernes.
Le petit déjeuner était varié.
La couverture du lit était tachée, et il faut noter qu’il n’y a pas du tout de réseau si vous êtes dans une chambre au sous-sol et donc sans fenêtre.
Rapport qualité-prix correct, hôtel un peu cher pour deux nuits mais cela reste Londres en été et comparé à d’autres hôtel le prix était abordable.
The hotel had a calming scandi feel. Our room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. The air con was a bonus which meant we got a peaceful and cool night sleep.
The breakfast could have been better, considering the price paid to stay at the hotel. The sausages were cheap tasting, the scrambled egg was dry like it had been left out for ages. The waffle mixture was too sweet and the plates were very small meaning you had to make multiple trips.
A great location near to Old Street Station. Comfortable and sizeable rooms, plenty of outlets and a lovely bathroom.
Breakfast was a bit of a scrum with only a small bit of floor space devoted to the buffet.
The location was perfect. I had business in the heart of The City unusually on a weekend and was meeting a couple of authors. It was record breaking heat - the air con was unexpected and Angela was incredibly helpful as were all the staff. Bright, professional, knowledgeable and simply ready to support any question. Staying again tomorrow night. 100% value for money.
Only thing that was missing was the 2 bottles of complementary water that we were told would be in the room. Now saying that- I could have asked. And again saying that - we also had a free upgrade, so filling my glass at the tap was simply more than good enough. I do not really think there was anything I did not like. Even the other guests were amicable and there is no way you can predict that.
The hotel is in a very peaceful and quiet location, with public transport conveniently nearby. The breakfast was excellent, and the children especially enjoyed it. Our room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable.
I would also like to give special praise to the receptionist, who was incredibly kind to our child when we were checking out and even gave them some sweets as a small gift. It was a thoughtful gesture that we really appreciated.
There was a small misunderstanding regarding the payment at check-in, but the staff handled it professionally and resolved the issue quickly. My impression was that it was more likely a problem with the Booking.com system than the hotel itself.
The only downside was that a hotel of this standard did not offer access to a computer, even for an additional fee. I was also unable to use my phone at the time and asked if it would be possible to make a phone call, even if I had to pay for it. Unfortunately, I was told that calls to EU countries were not possible, which I found rather surprising.
Location
After a 50 pound ride to the property we were informed that our reservation thru booking.com was canceled. I had a confirmation number in an email but we were told there was no room. We then had to call multiple Hilton’s till we found another across town and had to get another taxi for 40 pounds to get there. Not happy about the extra expense. Getting a booking with a confirmation number should be easy. To be denied was just another bad thing added to our travel day.
