Excellent art hotel with lots of character located opposite the Turner.
Pros:

Interesting & tasteful decor, comfortable rooms with lots of little extras. Friendly helpful staff, nice generous continental breakfast. Particularly loved the art displayed throughout the hotel.

Cons:

Very soft pillows the only minor issue for me.

The sort of place that makes you feel good about yourself for choosing it.
Pros:

The Fort Hotel is beautifully designed, welcoming and the attention to detail is splendid.

We devoured the breakfast - the granola was the standout for me, but also a grapefruit, toast croissants. Everything was impeccable. And I don't normally eat breakfast.

Lovely hotel but absolutely not worth the money
Pros:

Staff were lovely and breakfast was good

Cons:

Parts of the room looked tired. There was a stain on the linen and overall it just wasn’t worth the extremely high price we paid for it - especially as it was a treat after getting married.

Excellent, friendly little hotel in a terrific location and great value for money
Pros:

We really enjoyed our night at the Fort Hotel. Our room was small but very comfortable and attractive, with some nice touches like a fridge with fresh milk and cookies left for us. Bathroom was great, with lovely toiletries. The location was excellent, close to everything in Margate. And there was a great continental breakfast buffet included. We had booked a different restaurant for the evening but the hotel's restaurant looked lovely and we would eat there next time.

Very good, we enjoyed the view from the roof terrace too!
Pros:

The location was excellent, right opposite the Turner Gallery. Breakfast was a buffet style with plenty of choice but you could order a cooked breakfast for an extra charge.
The bed and pillows were very comfy and fans were provided in the room. I liked the coffee making station and the toiletries were divine.

Cons:

I personally would have preferred a walk-in shower, but we really had no complaints.
