Cons:

The room was exceptionally hot despite two fans and the pillows were far too soft - they basically collapsed as you put your head on them.

We enjoyed our stay
Pros:

Located close to the town centre. It has a pleasant bar and serves an excellent continental breakfast, with cooked options. The rooms awas well appointed with great shower and quality tea/ coffee facilities

Cons:

It is situated on quite a steep hill. The room we had, had no chairs just an extremely large window seat filling the bay window.

Beautiful, memorable and inspiring - all hotels should be like this!
Pros:

What a gem!!! We were made to feel so welcome, and the staff were outstanding. So kind and friendly. Everything in the hotel is beautifully considered. Original artworks on the walls of every communal space, and all the rooms. Tea, coffee and a cafetière in the room, with milk in the fridge. Freshly baked cookies, a fantastic restaurant, a bar and a roof terrace, all just a stone's throw from Turner Contemporary and the sea front. Hand-picked books in the rooms and gorgeous, locally sourced toiletries. Wonderful breakfast. I cannot rate this place highly enough: it's outstanding.

Cons:

I have no complaints. This is a wonderful hotel. Absolutely marvellous stay, and we would love to come back.

Perfect stay
Pros:

Chefs table for breakfast amazing - just what we needed before our walk the next day.
Beds extremely comfortable - all in all a perfect stay.
Roof top terrace a lovely bonus for watching sun go down- amazing views

Cons:

Nothing other than view but could have chosen a room with a view when booking and not really an issue.

Pros:

We previously stayed last year and enjoyed it so decided to book again. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our room had everything we needed for an overnight stay. The bed was very comfortable and the room was lovely and clean. We could see the sea from our window and the Turner gallery. Breakfast was also very good with plenty of choice and great coffee.

Cons:

The only drawback with Fort Road is the cost. It's quite expensive but nice for an occasional treat. If it was slightly cheaper we would stay more often than we do currently.

A luxury stay in a beautiful boutique hotel
Pros:

Lauren in particular was absolutely lovely. The room was beautiful with perfect views and the location of the hotel was brilliant. We loved the roof terrace too!

Cons:

The only reason for knocking off one mark was because I could hear some noise from the room which was next to ours and also in the morning from the housekeeping staff who were getting supplies from the cupboard next to our room.
My husband’s full English was also really overdone, but the manager was nice enough not to charge us as we had waited a long time for our food.
