Gorgeous hotel with warm and welcoming staff
Pros:

When we checked in we were greeted by Chloe who was incredibly welcoming and took time to recommend somewhere for breakfast in the morning when we said we were going to venture out for food. Keavy and Javita were incredibly nice when we checked out too. Javita recommended a whole host of places to visit around Oxford which ended up making our trip as we saw things we didn’t even consider that were unreal. For example the Science museum just down the road. The hotel was beautiful in a perfect location and I cannot recommend the spa enough it is a godsend. We will definitely be coming back.

Disappointing

Cons:

Really disappointing the staff were ok but disinterested is any actual
problems. We waited 45 minutes for breakfast which arrived cold. The robes in the room were so stiff you couldn’t use them and the toilet paper was poor quality as were the toiletries. It’s an OK 4* at best, much nicer hotels in the area

Comfortable but pricey
Pros:

Great location in Oxford, very close to the Bodleian Libraries and Bridge of Sighs. Staff were very welcoming and informative. Breakfast was included in the price. Nice amenities in the room, appreciate the big block of chocolate.

Cons:

Not that keen on the styling and decor. It's a beautiful old building but inside it's a mix of mid-centry-modern and classical. Looks a bit plastic. I'd expected something classier for the price. Staple items on the menu, but all a bit dressed up. For example, the Eggs Benedict came with yuzu flavoured sauce and pork chashu (instead of bacon), which is unnecessary.
