Will stay again simply to enjoy the building and beautiful atmosphere
Pros:

Very clean.
Great price although is often more expensive so we must have found a cheaper rate when we stayed.
Beautiful building very well maintained.
Discounted NPC car park was good.
Food in main bar was beautiful.

Cons:

Main bar female toilets had to find my own toilet roll from the open cleaners room in the toilets. Two of 4 female toilets had no toilet roll.

Terrible mirror placement in our room. Lighting at the two mirrors (bathroom and main room) made impossible to do makeup. Small thing but was hard work getting ready to go out.

WiFi was dreadful.

Pros:

A gorgeous hotel but was a shame that the junior suite was a basement room
Pros:

The hotel is gorgeous, it is so grand and the decor is beautiful. The breakfast was amazing, so much choice. We stayed in the junior suite which was gorgeous and so spacious, clean, and comfortable. It was great that it had a coffee machine and our pods were refilled in the evening which was a lovely touch! Staff were very friendly.

Cons:

We had booked the junior suite for a special occasion - from the photos on Booking.com it looked like the room had plenty of natural light however the room is actually in the basement with very little natural light. It was also one of the sunniest days of the year so far so it wasn’t the case that it was just a grey day - the room is very dark and the lighting is quite dark and moody to make it cosy. Although the room was gorgeous and spacious and would have been perfectly fine if it was the middle of winter, we wouldn’t have booked it for April if we knew it was in the basement and if we knew it was so dark. It should be made clear on Booking.com that this room is in the basement!
We used the spa and pool - it is a shame that there is an additional cost for this for guests staying in the suites, although it was lovely, the spa and pool felt overly expensive for what it was.

Lovely but not 5*
Pros:

I likeed the bedrooms the decor and the food.

Cons:

I didnt like that I got a turn down service without my permission. I wanted my room untouched for videos which was ruined by this. The mugs in the hotel room were dirty and for a 5 star hotel i was surprised there was no welcome note or complimentary snacks except biscuits.

Wonderful building. Good breakfast -expensive.
Pros:

Agreesive billing at the bar. I had a modest drink and was chased for payment after one sip. As a result I did not stay long

Cons:

As above

Pros:

The staff are lovely and very helpful and the hotel is beautiful the food is delicious

Cons:

The food was so expensive and drinks too expensive. The tele in the room didn’t work well , the was ear plugs left over from the people before in our room also , spa is lovely and clean but not worth the £50 pp as facilities are tiny
