Excellent stay, will come again when next in manchester
Pros:

Perfect location, being right next to manchester town hall, and walking distance of the train station. small but well looked after lobby. very switched on and polite staff, a pleasure to interact with. lovely room, though the usual profusion of light switches which take some working out. wonderful shower, with formula 1 type flippers to turn on and off. tons of hot water. breakfast was wonderful, small dining area, immediate and charming greetings from staff, happy to make 'off menu' breakfast items

Cons:

1. the music playing in the public areas was not to my taste, and marginally too loud for me. not a deal breaker, but none the less, noticable

2. the lifts took a along time to come, I ended up using the stairs to my second floor room

3. something I knew about before booking, the absence of a gym

Great location for conference at MCCC
Pros:

Unusual to be offered kippers for breakfast, a rare treat! Free cocktail was a bonus …for booking breakfast at check in? Stylish room decor, good working aircon.

OK but fairly basic for a Malmaison. Actual facilities were largely what you would get in any hotel, but fairly basic breakfast and no gym or similar facilities.

wonderful staff, beautiful hotel
Pros:

Hotel was beautiful and well situated, staff were wonderful and made my stay there extra special with my free prosecco.

Cons:

Fire alarms went off in the rooms multiple times, once at maybe 4/5 in the morning which wasn’t relaxing at all

Great hotel, shame about breakfast
Pros:

Great hotel, lovely staff and fab room

Cons:

The breakfast was sadly very bad. I had Shakshuka and the egg was like rubber. My daughter had boiled eggs and the toast was black!!! Such a shame as have always loved a Mal breakfast
