Where do i begin. We booked a table to celebrate my retirement. We had booked for 6.30 pm ,arrived on time and was seated rightaway. That is the end of the good stuff. No one came to take our drinks order until 7.15 at which time we gave our food order .2 of our party ordered burgers .5 minutes after ordering we were informed,no burgers. The order eventually arrived after a long wait. The sea Bass came without vegetables, retuned to the kitchen, the bacon chop was burnt, retuned to the kitchen. The side order of onion rings never appeared, the gravy was just a thick gloop. The service was very poor, the food was passable at best. And at the end of the night we were presented with the wrong bill.If you are going to run promotions have enough staff and stock to run them.I know you will pass comments on and strive to improve ,but the trouble is you do not. What should have been a celebration turned into a shambles
I go regularly to this place for a drink and I am watching it fall apart no management had a meal 3 weeks ago herendous service and quality couldn't be bothered to tell someone
Lovely staff. Room and facilities good. Value for money.
Food was really disappointing. The Farmhouse used to be known for its roast dinners so was looking forward to a carvery as I had not been in the area for a while. No carvery and as it was on my table before I returned from ordering at the till, it was hardly freshly plated. Cardboard meat, expensive and unappetising.
All staff members were incredible - friendly, helpful and polite. A special mention for Katie and the young man, name unknown, behind the bar.
The room was acceptably clean but there was a lack of attention to detail that stopped me scoring higher. The mattress was a spring mattress - possibly near to needing replacing but I still enjoyed a good nights sleep.
I felt the overall cost was expensive for a pub stay - particularly when there isn't a 24 hour 'hotel' facility.
Excellent breakfast and very pleasant staff.
Very expensive drinks from the bar.
Beautiful room

We use this restaurant quite often and always enjoy the meals. We especially enjoy the sea bass. The service is usually quite good but can be a little slow when they are busy, The farmhouse decor is a little too rustic in places, especially in the toilets. Fortunately, the quality of the food makes up for the other shortcomings.
Tasteful, modernised bedrooms, nice bar and restaurant
The staff were all super friendly, we ate dinner in the restaurant which was lovely with great service and breakfast the following morning was also superb. The rooms were spacious, warm and comfortable although I would say I ended up with a family room and when I went up to bed it was positioned over a noisy part of the pub below so if you were staying with children it might not be conducive to a sensible bed time. All together a lovely stay at a great price and much nicer than the usual 'Purple Palace'.
Clean, well equipped, spacious room.
Give a very poorly situated table for evening meal, despite having booked in advance. Very annoying to see ‘walk in’ customers being allocated larger, better situated tables.
Service was slow but acceptable. Food ok.
Limited breakfast choice. Incredibly slow service given that we were the only diners. The avocado was diluted with sone unknown ingredient which was not mentioned on the menu.
Breakfast…average, a little bland
Didn’t have steak which we wanted from the menu, so disappointing
No Pepsi on tap or in cans…had to have lemonade for my vodka…annoying…
Very hot day/evening and the fan in the bedroom didn’t work properly and blew out lots of dust….not been cleaned at all!
Inside Ambience
Outside lush green forests and grazing landscape for horses
Noise at the night time
Massively over priced - booker for my partners birthday - made staff aware twice nothing was done - food not very good for the price - broken toilet seat paid 160 for one night - ridiculous
Room
Food
Flat over priced drinks and food
Expected a lot more for the money
No room service
No fridge
Dirty bath
Room clean and tidy
Time it took to get served. Appreciate it was busy but maybe additional staff is required when you know the bar is likely to be very busy due to functions etc
