The stay was great - friendly staff; great restaurant; lovely spacious room and very comfortable bed.

The only downside was that, against the owner's request, Hotels .com continue to sell this with inclusive breakfast, which isn't provided.

The village has more great cafe's and bistro's than you can imagine and so breakfast 'out' was not a problem - but Hotel.com misled us with the booking

Really lovely staff and great area. Overall, the room was beautiful, clean and comfortable and we enjoyed our stay. The only downside is the noise when guests in the other rooms are coming in and out, and the bathroom that was a bit too cold. Apart from that, everything was great and I definitely recommend it to anyone considering staying in Wadhurst.

Rubbish experience

Good central location. Lighting in the bathroom was poor. No hand towel or shower mat provided. Not cleaned under the bed. Good quality breakfast

First of all the table for my lunch was already booked, although the bar staff didn't know and the table wasn't marked as reserved (and when the people came later they didn't even sit there!) so I had to move, secondly my room wasn't ready after 3pm when it was supposed to be. However, luckily there was a room that was not booked so they moved me to that. The staff didn't seem to know what was going on. The room was clean and pleasant, although the road and locals noise was a bit distracting when I was trying to sleep. There was no information in the room about wi-fi, or breakfast times or menu or checkout. I couldn't get into the bar area until after 8.30 and there was no breakfast menu and I was offered EITHER granola OR "some sort of eggs on toast" not much of a choice! When I went to check out and settle my bar bill there was no-one there and I was locked in! I have left a message for the pub to ring me so I can pay my bar tab, but haven't heard from them yet. I would never leave without paying, but I had an appointment to meet someone, so I had to go. All round a bit of a weird experience.

Beautiful room in a great little friendly pub. There was a small leak in their kitchen overnight so they couldn't do breakfasts but had already organised and paid for us to have breakfast in a little cafe/deli just along the high street. Amazing service

Very comfortable room with good facilities. TV was internet not freeview service. Had a very good evening meal and cooked breakfast.
Traffic noise was intrusive as window is 10 yards from the road through the village and is only single glazed.
Some confusion on check in about whether breakfast was in the cafe down the road or in the pub.

Charming place. Perfection of modern complimented with traditional room .. loved it ! Welcoming staff … nice little bar and great breakfast set in a really lovely little town / village …. Will definitely book again if in the area !

Nice dog friendly hotel in a small village close to Tunbridge wells and Bewl water and also castle and gardens to visit.

Lovely room, food was great

Short visit for a wedding in the local area. Communications before arrival were excellent and the welcome when we did arrive was all very good. Very helpful with requests and accommodated everything that we asked. Beautiful room and a lovely venue all round. Excellent customer service.
