Lovely hotel decor and rooms with lovely staff
Pros:

Central location, nice bar, rooms were very nice as were staff

Cons:

The breakfast was ok, not a huge variety of options and the swimming pool was quite small and quiet, so didn’t feel like the right environment for kids

Historic gem hotel
Pros:

Beautiful hotel, well located for exploring Georgetown and great facilities.

Cons:

The mini bar fridge wasn't working but as soon as we notified staff, they rectified the problem.

Will be Back to stay at The George.
Pros:

Location. LIVE music at the Bar. COzy Quiet Room. Very comfortable Bed and the curtain Block Out is very helpful. Like the board display on the history of Penang and the Peranakan culture. As its not such a large hotel, getting on the elevators and around the hotel is easy. Good Reception and Concierge service.

Cons:

Pillows can be Improved on.

I still had a wonderful experience here, although a few aspects fell slightly below my expectation.
Pros:

The location is very good, and the building itself is beautiful and well decorated.

Cons:

Overall, my stay was pleasant; however, for a 5-star hotel, a few aspects fell slightly below my expectations. For example, the breakfast selection was quite limited, and there was a fly flying over our table. Additionally, the room was not well soundproofed—we could clearly hear snoring from the neighboring room, children crying, as well as the sounds of switches being turned on and off.
