Would have been better if there was some info in the room re: emergency phone number or how to contact host when the bar is closed, internet password, local retail options n eating places, local walks, nearest filling station etc.
Absolutely brilliant lovely private clean room on the ground floor. Dogs welcome too great hosts with a lovely warm welcome lovely old pub seving real ales
Nothing
It was in a small village, near the countryside
The rooms were so basic. No mattress protector, pillows cheap and flat . Sheets not cotton and creased . Shower only one head working . Towels were damp. No draws in the room . One side table . Otherwise one lamp on floor . No pub food .courtyard full of weeds and not out door furniture.
Cotrect
Odeur moquette
The accommodation was very spacious, clean and new.
There was no food as new owners had taken over.
Location of the property
The accommodation. The 'host' was not aware of the booking, despite booking through Booking.com & communicating to someone via email. Non apologetic host, had to wait for them to prepare room. The room was awful, filthy bathroom with hairs everywhere & crap on the toilet seat, it stank of sewers. Nil cleaning. No food available as Kitchen had been 'condemned'....hosts words. SHOULD NO LONGER BE ADVERTISED ON HERE
Friendly welcome from manager, nice staff. Good location. Lots of parking. Fun farmyard room names.
Far too expensive for what you get. What follows may sound nit picky, but it hopefully illustrates some of the problems: Uncomfortable old mattresses, no hot water in Pigsty room, tiny TVs, random furniture and empty packaging left in hallway. No one around at check out. Would have preferred to raise these problems in person.
We understand the Inn is under new ownership, (distinct from the management and staff, who we met). They clearly opened too early or should have offered a significantly discounted rate to reflect the unready state of things.
The location was great. Easy walk to most things in town. Room was clean and comfortable. I would stay again if I am ever back in Youlgreave.
Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst en behulpzaam en goede parkeergelegenheid
De keuken was nog niet up and running
WiFi should have been working.
A toilet seat that fitted
A waste bin should be available
Provided Tea bags in a cup but when using the cup the tea bags are on the surface, a container is not too much to ask.
No one available for a 8am check out.
TV smaller than a lap top screen
Nothing good to say, not a good experience and at £130 per night which did not include breakfast is extremely expensive compared to every other establishment we stayed at on our walking holiday
Rooms functional.
Wifi just did not work. And could not get 4 or 5 G on any network. So could not watch a film nor F1! They should fix this.
Great location and our room was very spacious. The tea and coffee facilities were very generous.
We couldn’t get WiFi in the room and staying in such a remote location it would have been great to be able to check weather, things to do etc in the room to plan the day.
Excellent accommodation
Shame the pub is closed on Mondays (the night we stayed)
Poor shower
