Good location, quiet
My first name and surname were mixed up on the reservation. I made the hotel aware of this ahead of time and I did receive a response, but on arrival it was not corrected at any point either before arrival or after check-in. Whilst a minor inconvenience, addressing hotel guests by the wrong name feels rather impersonal, and created unnecessary confusion at check in and check out.
We booked The Reach last minute as the accommodation we had previously booked wasn't fit to stay in. The staff were extremely accommodating and helpful and upon hearing our story upgraded us to a balcony room. The location was perfect for a stay in central Manchester. The room had all the required facilities including a coffee maker and ironing board. The welcome drink was especially welcomed.
There was no onsite parking, but the staff did direct us to a secure parking garage nearby.
The location is great, right next to Piccadilly but just off the main bit so not noisy. The room was lovely-- room 813 had a massive terrace which was bigger than the room! The room was also nice and cosy. Shower was powerful and spacious. The lounge is also nice and cosy. The staff were very friendly and nice. They accidently left something in our room (a cake for another guest) and gave us drinks vouchers to say sorry. They also brought me oatmilk for a morning coffee when I asked.
We arrived an hour early and they said we could check in early as the room was free-- but only if we paid £25. Most places will let you check in early if the room is ready, £25 for 54 minutes seemed a bit stingy. Also the bed was a fold down one-- I think the room could double up as a lounge if connected to the one next door (becoming a apartment of sorts). The bed was perfectly comfy but there was a massive gap between the bed and the headboard/wall. Meant it was hard to sit on the bed and watch TV with pillows as they kept falling down the back of the bed. The location is very good for the station and Manchester City Centre-- just be aware that Piccadilly can get a bit lary at night on Friday/Saturday and there are some characters about so if you are going out late, be careful. The hotel is totally safe-feeling though.
Central location, competitive price, modern and clean. All the amenities we needed - we were delighted to see there was a room service menu and the prices were fair.
Breakfast was exceptional! Great choice and quick service.

Great location, central and easy to navigate around the city centre and northern quarter. Friendly staff on arrival. Room was stylish with a good bathroom and large TV. Aircon was decent. And the balcony was a nice touch as well. Great value and a good stay for a few days visit.
Parking was expensive nearby so chose the train station parking which was fine but 10-15 minute walk away.
The Reach was perfect for me being very close to Piccadilly train station plus easy access into the city. Also, adjacent to Rochdale Canal, which I enjoyed.
