Breakfast was delicious and plentiful with lots of options. The hotel is right by the York Minster and The Shambles so we were able to walk everywhere during our stay. Dinner in the Bow Room was very elegant. The bar/lounge is a great place for a cocktail and mid day bite to eat. The views of the old city walls and garden are lovely. The building is historic and next to the Treasurer House first built in 1091. Our room was very large and comfortable. The staff could not have been friendlier or more attentive.
Perfect stay for my wife and I on New Year's eve. The hotel is a beautiful historical building and the rooms are very nicely furnished, comfortable and quiet. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was superb and the dining room overlooked the private gardens and the city walls. Apart from breakfast we didn't eat in the restaurant as it was fully booked but the hotel recommended other local restaurants for us.
I’ve never had a perfect 10 / 10 stay at a hotel before as I’m quite fussy , however there’s no fault to be found. The building is unique & the staff were the best I’ve ever been hosted by.
The owner herself is a lovely woman & we really can’t wait to go back !
Amazing location in York , easy to get too with its own car park . Only 2 minutes walk from York Minster . Super helpful and friendly staff . Great food . Will definitely be staying again in the future .
Beautiful room and hotel in general. Great parking for the duration of our stay. Very central location, just around the corner from the York Minster.
Parking was convenient but i do think it should have been included in the overall cost of the stay.
The breakfast could’ve been much better. I think a continental buffet would have been better. The eggs Benedict was bland. There weren’t many options on the menu.

A wonderful hotel in a great location, very close to all the shops and to York Minster.
