Exceptional service, clean & very welcoming
Pros:

From start to finish our stay was exceptional! Check in was pretty straight forward, we did it online which made it really easy when arriving. Ellis showed us to our room and helped us settle in. We stayed for my partners birthday and on arrival had little macarons alongside a happy birthday message from the hotel, which was a lovely surprise. Our room had everything we needed, comfy double bed, robes, hot shower/bath with plenty of towels. Tv had all channels we needed to watch & relax. Our room also included iron/iron board, hairdryer, fan. We went out for dinner which discovered was awkward with taxi companies as where we were located, was out of the way. We managed to get a taxi to the restaurant from the hotel but getting one back was a nightmare. However, Ellis had mentioned that he wouldn’t mind travelling as it was only 5minute drive. So he came to pick us up and brought us back to the hotel, which we were so grateful and appreciative for. We then sat in the bar for the rest of the evening and played cards and drank. The hotel provided a few other games too which we thought was lovely. The continental breakfast the next morning was better than we expected. There were plenty of choice for fruits, yogurts, cereal, pastries, tea/coffee & toast. Whilst staying here we discovered just how dog friendly the hotel is and this stood out to me as I have a pooch who would love to come and stay with us next time we come! All the other guests we spoke to whilst staying also had great experiences with their stay too. The service here from Ellis and the rest of the team was exceptional! I said it during my stay and I’ll say it again. This hotel is better than the 3 star rating it holds! Ellis mentioned the only reason they aren’t rated higher is due to the fact they are unable to cater food around the clock. However, they provide snacks in room and have snacks on the bar and offer a set menu every Saturday.

Cons:

Nothing that we disliked about our stay.

Pros:

For the price, in the area, with the pictures shown, I was worried it would be a scam but it was all lovely, comfortable and welcoming even for dogs! I'd checked out the hotels own website but booked through booking.com as there was no other way to book online.

Its in a really accessible location about 10 mins from Conwy town and easy to access other nearby towns as not too far from a55. The grounds are pretty and I can see why its also a nice wedding venue the marquee looked beautifully decorated.

Despite the age of the hall, it had some beautiful period feature but an overall maximalist & modern feel with some appropriately placed sheep decor too.

Staff were happy to help at any time of day & were very approachable. We will definitely look to stay here again when visiting the area as its also not far from snowdonia region so a greta base for coast and hiking too.

Cons:

While everything felt well looked after and clean, we visited out of season at a time that there was no evening restaurant so we can't comment on this, breakfast had fantastic options thought for a continental! We did find a broken pair of glasses on the floor in the bedroom (missing a lense) so not sure quite how regularly the rooms are deep cleaned, which could be an issue for some with allergies especially as dogs can stay inside the hotel. However, I have a dust allergy which was not triggered during the stay so its definitely clean enough.

Beautiful house, tastefully decorated
Pros:

Beautiful property, excellent location, very dog friendly with a lovely welcome pack for our four legged companion.

Cons:

Stayed in the courtyard rooms, could do with a better choice of lighting. Either really bright with ceiling lighting or dim with bedside lights.Spoke to reception and this was resolved with a temporary lamp - thank you 10/10 for service

Disappointing from a customer service point of view
Pros:

Lovely hotel and initial meet and greet was very good. Lovely room and comfortable bed.

Cons:

We were attending a wedding down the road and after booking in, which was very good, we were told that when we returned for the night there would be a night porter on duty at reception if we needed help. But when we arrived at about 10.45pm there was absolutely no-one in reception and we needed help in finding a parking place. I walked all around the ground floor calling for help but it was totally empty, no bar staff or anyone, and in the end we found a dog walker nearby the hotel who showed us where to park by some outbuildings. The night was good, but when we came to check out in the morning there again was no-one in reception to acknowledge us checking out and we did not see anywhere we could leave the room key so we had to just leave it on the desk in the hopes that someone would find it and check us out safely.

Nice place to stay, but would not have the same room and needed some hot breakfast!
Pros:

Quiet and out of the way - relaxing

Cons:

My room was 208 and only had a sky light, it felt a bit claustrophobic, and I didn’t sleep well because of it.
Was only continental breakfast - would have been much improved by having some other breakfast options for the price

Absolutely wonderful
Pros:

Absolutely stunning interior, grounds & the most beautiful and pleasant staff. Nothing was too much trouble, felt very welcome from the minute we opened the doors.
Super comfy beds. Really good size bathroom which has both a shower & a bath.
Very clean and tidy.

Such a beautiful setting. Already looking forward to returning 🤍

I didn’t not like anything, I just would of absolutely loved a pool/spa to finish it off perfectly but that’s my personal opinion x

Aesthetically speaking it looked good

Cons:

The bins weren’t emptied from previous guests in our room and there was only a continental breakfast and guests were talking to the staff about how they shut down the restaurant and if it was because of money. We asked to cancel the overpriced breakfast and were told we would get a refund but the next day when we checked out were told otherwise which left an unpleasant experience at the end of our stay.
