Très belle surprise
Beautiful Manor House, lovely setting, great accommodation, nice swimming pool area, will definitely stay again
There wasn't anything we didn't like, the Cafe was a relaxing area andthe breakfast was lovely
The staff were very friendly, made me feel welcome and the garden room was comfortable, like a 1 bedroom flat, was a very good size and convenient to the pool and cafe, just a stroll across the lawns, it was peaceful so rested well...nice to wake up to bird song 🎵
Would of been nice to have a restaurant with table service for evening meals and better menu choice...also carpet in room little tired ,stain in kitchen area..
Staff were welcoming and friendly, the lady on reception was lovely.
We stayed in Amelie it is a large room with a four poster bed which was comfortable. Large bathroom with free-standing bath and large shower. Would stay in this room again.
Spa was OK needs a bit of TLC as could be amazing.
Small cafe provides limited choice of light meals.
A can of Guiness cost £7.
If staying book nearby to eat out tyou will need to drive or get a taxi.
List of take aways available in the hotel room plus nearby eateries.
Its rustic, cosy and homely.
Lovely grounds to explore, nice variety of facilities, staff were lovely, helpful, very attentive and welcoming.
Breakfast was a really nice spread.
Our beds were cosy and comfy and the room was tidy and welcoming.
We were lucky as we had beautiful weather which added to the experience.
Would happily visit again and for what we paid we were happy with our experience.
There was only one fault and thats the area we were staying there was a drainage issue. The smell wasnt too great.
For a 3 star hotel though was most happy.
Think if they spruced the place up a little and the changing areas bit of TLC and fixing up little issues could easily get back another star.
Staff
Lady bugs inside the room around the windows, broken items, dirty, bed was not comfortable at all. Breakfast was way below average.
It was a lovely place to stay Kathy who was on the desk was absolutely amazing she made our stay fantastic and made us very comfortable and will definitely be back
Appeared nice online, disappointed
Rooms very cold and not clean to a good standard
Spa was amazing
Reasonable price and good location.
Bathroom was very outdated but functional and the TV didn’t tune into any channels other than radio.
It was better than last time we were here.
Friendly chap on the desk.
Why would you not make more of the beautiful entrance and the nice part of the hotel?
Couldn’t swim in the morning as there was a class.
Spa and pool cold.
Massive gaps in the floor boards.
I stayed in the superior suite for Valentine's. Reception was great to organise some flowers in the room upon arrival.
We had a great stay, enjoyed every bit of the sauna and the room.
Breakfast was delicious as well. Truly had a great time and an amazing valentine's day!
We arrived and could smell poo in both of our anex rooms. We booked this for my mother in laws 60th, had lots planned so we went out for a meal not long after we arrived and noticed dirty tissues and feces outside of our room, to the point we were urging. I messaged the team on booking.com with our issue and had no response. This was too late for us to ask to be moved as obviously we were on the way to the meal. The smell in the morning was again so bad we could smell it in our rooms. Spoke to the nice staff on reception in the morning who had said there has been an issue with the drains, they moved another room last night as they complained, the manager needs to sort it but isn’t. I asked for a refund and was told I needed to contact the manager; which I have done and have been ignored. I will not be staying here again, it’s basic health and safety, I’m so glad we didn’t have any children with us because if they went to play outside they’d of been playing in poo. Will also be reporting this to environmental health.
The property is located in a gorgeous private area, which would definitely be more appealing in the summer! Lovely spacious rooms! Cute cafe!
There isn't much to do in the wincanton area but that's our own fault for not looking before hand. The spa is not a spa, it's a pool, a sauna and a (cold) hot tub. There is no space to lounge about, only a couple of plastic garden chairs. It looks a bit run down and not at all giving relaxing vibes.
High quality and classical
Nothing at all
The bed was comfortable
The staff were rude. Cafe barely any food in there
The facilities were broken unclean, cracks all along the walls,
