you get what it says on the tin.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food at the pub is excellent. Tube station is right around the corner, and the neighborhood is fantastical diverse. Will definitely come again!
Helt ok. Lyhört och mycket trafik utanför.
“This is not a hotel”, these are the words of the bartender who lets us in after standing in the cold for 20 minutes. She was very nice and apologetic, but has nothing to do with managing the rooms. There is no front desk or actual hotel
entrance that is open. It took several phone calls for someone to answer and then eventually tell us that someone would open the doors to the pub to let us in. All we wanted to do was to store our luggage until our room was ready, but there is no open entrance if you arrive before 11.There is only a pub that opens at 11 which has very small rooms above it.
We booked a king bed deluxe room, but got a queen bed standard room with a tiny bathroom with a shower that soaked the bathroom floor each time. When someone finally answered again, we were told that there are no king beds and no offer to refund us for not giving us the room that we booked.
We liked Notting Hill a lot, but we will never stay at this place again. As the bartender said…this is not a hotel.
We booked a king deluxe room. We got a queen standard room, and was told by the manager(owner?) that there are no king beds. There is no front desk or entry into a hotel. There is only a pub(which opens at 11) with very small sleeping rooms(and tiny bathrooms) above it with four flights of stairs to get to the rooms.
It might work if all you have is a backpack and don’t mind cleaning the bathroom floor every time you shower.
Truly lovely pub and very reasonable for London. Had a very nice feel and the drinks choice was great. Everyone was very friendly and the place was very clean. Had a little bit of a musty smell but it wasn’t insufferable. Would happily go again
The friendliest staff and really high quality food and wine
The Indian dishes we were recommended including one off the menu were excellent and the staff were friendly and attentive. It’s a bustling pub atmosphere downstairs we were offered the quieter dining area upstairs but it was early evening Saturday so happy to be in amongst the throng
I booked this last minute when another hotel booking fell through. All I knew was that I liked the area it was in and needed a place to sleep but I was so pleasantly surprised by how nice and cute it was. Highly recommend for solo travelers!
They need to provide more information regarding check in. This hotel is literally above a pub and there wasn’t a sign or anything to show where we should check in. When we arrived around 10am we had to wait about 30 mins till an employee was around to direct us. They should reach out to guests ahead of time or send a note. Besides this, we also had a very leaky AC that wasn’t fixed. Rooms are on the smaller side but it’s a good value for the neighborhood and the rooms although small are nicely decorated.
Nice little room but very little , not sure it met the billing as premier room . Badly designed shower flooded floor easily but air conditioning and lively bedding
Amazing food & drinks. Service with a smile and very helpful staff. A nice place enjoy ur lunch or dinner and watch the world go by when visiting Portobello Road.
Kids enjoyed the fresh pizza whilst I enjoyed the Indian cuisine. Definitely a place I would visit again and again.
Great room with good style and comfort.
It’s above a stylish pub, but very quiet room, big bed and effective double glazing.
Good sized bathroom and shower.
We spent the morning at the Museum of Brands which shares the same side street of Lancaster Road as this establishment. It was thus the closest place for us to unwind and relax after being hours on our feet.
Very spacious with lots of seating. It felt like it might have been an area known for weird activity as there was a hefty guard /bouncer on alert duty and constantly going in and out of the restaurant. It was a little unnerving to be honest.
We had lunch of Tempura whitebait with date & tamarind chutney and pappardelle pasta with blue cheese and crispy sage. Both were okay. I always find simpler is better. Personally, I feel they are trying too hard to be a posh restaurant rather than going for tried and tested pub fare. The whitebait would have been perfectly fine on their own. The sauces didn't add to it in anyway.
The prices reflect the area which is a little on the higher side.
Service we felt could have been better. It was confusing having 2 servers and they clearly didn’t like each other, and one seemed to be ‘in training’. We were charged for an extra beer we did not consume, and it took a while for our bill to be sorted with the 2 servers arguing and the manager having to get involved. Some work is needed on the concept, food and service.
Gorgeous food. So pretty on the plate. I had a Delhi Butter chicken which was simply superb and a Tiramisu to finish which was one of the best I have ever tasted & believe me I have had a great many. The kitchen really does know what it is about. Friendly service and reasonable prices. This is a great place to eat if you are on Ladbroke Grove.
The manager was very fun and welcoming. We got to talk to him a bit in the bar downstairs and had a great lunch. The location is right next to an underground station and super convenient. Highly recommend overall and will happily stay there again.
The property was ideally situated near to Ladbroke Grove tube station so it was easy to get anywhere in London in quite a short time. The rooms are above a trendy bar/restaurant we couldn’t hear the bar in our room which was good. The staff were pleasant but seemed a little unsure about the room so we did have to wait in the bar area but once it was sorted a lovely man took our cases upstairs to our room ( there are a lot of stairs and no lift ).The room itself was perfect it had a double bed with space all around it ,bedside tables and lights next to it. Two hanging rails with nice wooden hangers, coffee machine and pods (decaf and regular) nice choice of teas and slippers if you needed them. The bathroom had a good size shower with large rainfall shower head and molten brown products, towels provided were thick white and fluffy. The hotel kept our cases for us after check out which was great while we did some more sightseeing and shopping. We would definitely recommend and return to this property.
