If staying in Shanklin this is in the perfect spot. Everything you want or need within a 10 minute walk. We had one of the suites facing the front of the hotel and it was lovely. Great room size, the bed was really comfortable and a nice balcony to sit in the mornings or evening. The staff were welcoming and very friendly throughout our stay.
I cannot think of a single thing that would stop us from going back to the Fig Tree.

General cleaning was not what we would expect, bathroom extractor and wall next.to it were dirty, bathroom floor particularly shower area was dirty - brown when wet. Floors downstairs were in need of a hoover/mop. Chair in breakfast room had crumbs on it. Sensor on bathroom light needs adjusting. We had to walk right down to toilet for light to come on and when showering at the other end, it went out mid shower. Leaving me in the dark on a wet floor. With no choice to walk in the dark to the other end.
We would have mentioned in check out but there was no one at reception and no answer when we rang the bell.

Der Badezimmerboden war nicht sauber. Auch die Teekannen beim Frühstück waren wirklich eklig, da die alten Teerückstände vom Vorgebrauch (Schwarztee) nicht geputzt, sondern nur ausgespült wurden.
Great location, great staff, very clean, super bathroom and nice breakfast. We also raided the fig tree in front of the hotel and they were delicious.

The hotel has been done out to a high standard, the bar & outside seating is relaxing & the staff are friendly & helpful, which creates a great atmosphere. The rooms are lovely & clean & having a balcony was lovely with the nice weather! There was a nice selection of breakfast which was cooked well. The location is perfect a few minutes walk to either the beach or the village. There’s also plenty of parking around the back of the hotel.
Lovely Hotel ,friendly and most helpful staff ,clean tidy and spacious room wee had was a lovely weeks stay.
Weather was great too, Our only bear bug was the toaster that was in breakfast room it could only be set on number 2 and was a 4 slice toaster but as it was busy you had to wait ages for toast that is the only thing that wasn't so good but hopefully will be better if we go back there.
Breakfast was good plenty to choose from and help yourself, and then you order youre cooked stuff and its all done fresh and hot can't fault it, thank you Fig Tree for a lovely stay and would return there had a great time.

Lovely decor throughout the property! Stayed during the Isle of Wight Festival weekend and the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly!
