Great hotel and room but our experience was not good due to horrendous noise level on the guest night. Hotel not interes

Cons:

Our first night was awful as there was a wedding reception on until midnight, it was akin to having a room above a club. The music was loud, we could hear what the DJ was saying and guests cheering, etc. I spoke with a member of reception staff about my concerns and was assured the Manager would be informed. To date no one has been in touch. This is extremely disappointing. Had the hotel showed some interest in rectifying this we may have returned but will definitely not now.

Unfortunately, the fire alarm went off at 8am on Sunday morning, which wasn’t great considering we’d been to a wedding the day before. Obviously not the hotel’s fault though

However, compared to Leonardo in Edinburgh, it falls just a bit short. The windows don’t open for fresh air (though at least there are no bad odors), the AC automatically turns off at night, and there is no tea selection. Still, a wonderful place overall!

A disastrous experience due to terrible customer service, hidden fees, and poor communication.
Pros:

The most positive aspect of this hotel is definitely its convenient location, which makes getting around very easy. Additionally, the lobby bar has a nice atmosphere and offers high-quality drinks, though the prices are noticeably high. The common areas are generally clean and provide the basic standards you would expect. Beyond the location and the lobby bar, however, there really isn't much else to highlight or praise about the property.

Cons:

Terrible service and disorganized billing.

Due to card issues at check-in, I paid my 1st night via Apple Pay. The next day, staff forced me to pay all 5 nights upfront, promising a refund for the 1st night (£300+). Despite repeated pleas about needing those funds for my trip, I was told to "just wait." After 66 hours of delays, another staff member finally processed it manually in seconds. It’s unacceptable to hold a guest's money for days when a 1-second manual fix existed.

On my last day, I extended my stay by one night, paid in full that morning, and warned them I'd check into my new room late. They assured me there'd be "no issues." Yet, upon arriving late, they suddenly demanded a £50 deposit—never mentioned earlier, nor required during my initial 5 nights. When I questioned this, staff gave dismissive "it's our policy" excuses. I spent 2 hours arguing in the lobby; it became a matter of principle and basic transparency, so I refused to pay the uncommunicated fee.

Besides 1-2 helpful staff, the rest were incredibly unprofessional. Exceptionally low-quality service for exorbitant prices. A disastrous experience.

Our television didn't work but staff were excellent in trying to resolve issue and moved us to another room when issue couldn't be resolved. Room was very warm at night.
