Location and price
In disabled access room, toilet very high and awkward to get on to.
No accessible plugs by the bed which are needed to avoid having cables trailing the floor
staff very friendly and effecient
menu not always available although staff did there best to provide a meal
I chose the hotel for its proximity to Peterborough where I have family business to attend to. It is conveniently close to the A1 motorway. I was suitably impressed by the friendliness of the staff, the size of the car park, the cleanliness of the room, the comfort of the bed, not to mention the reasonableness of the price.
A mini bar fridge would be a welcome addition as I am partial to a yoghourt before going to bed. Apart from that, which is just a personal quibble, I can't think of anything.
Bedden waren lekker
Het was erg vies. Ons kamertje niet maar het hotel zelf
Much better hotel than when it was Premier Inn. So much more cleaner and the reception staff far more helpful.
The rooms still have the look of the old Holiday Inn that originally owned it but somehow it has a modern expensive look and feel to it.
The bathroom was very clean and well stocked up. Something over chains have cut back on. Water pressure from the shower was brilliant and when you wanted hot water you got it, again not like others that give you warm water. Plenty of towels, drinking glasses, and even a box of tissues.
The bed was new and very VERY comfortable. Pristine clean and pressed sheets, a nice warm duvet and four pillows if needed made for a very good sleep, so much so I woke up later than planned.
The TV worked, had ALL the Freeview channels, and enough tea, coffee, sugar, and milk for 4 mugs each without getting more from reception. Didn't even hear anyone else during the night from slamming doors or stomping around. This is due in part to the doors being set to make it impossible for them to slam shut but gently close with a quiet and reassuring click.
The carpark was big with plenty of space. It has only one way in and out for both vehicles and people which goes straight past the reception and is covered with more than enough CCTV to cover all corners of it. If there was a blind spot, I couldn't tell you where it was.
The only thing I can't comment on is the food as I didn't have any there due to meeting up with friends at night and not eating breakfast.
All in all this is a very clean, quiet, well provisioned hotel that is just off the A1M and a 5 mins drive to the centre of the city.
Absolutely nothing. The place is 1000 times better than it was under Premier Inn
Rooms were clean and comfortable.
The food was good basic not expensive. The room was comfortable and clean .
The WiFi was awful hardly any signal kept dropping out .the TV had very basic channels .no fridge .I am diabetic and no facilities to keep my insulin. Poor amount of sockets in the room .no air-conditioning
Location for us was perfect as stayed here before many times before it became milestone hotel, to be honest it hasnt changed much, but now needs a few tweaks to bring it back up to standard.
We had an assisted room as thats what we needed, In the bathroom the shower rails were loose, so feel thats quite dangerous, also shower head far too low as im 5ft 11 it probably was only 3ft in height, not ideal, and beds need to be kingsize as im sure thats what they were before, although we found it quite low we understood as probably needed for wheelchair transfers. And breakfast items were lukewarm, coffee machine not working properly, fruit juices needed labels as i picked grapefruit thinking it was orange, which i dont like, dissapointing overall.
Generally a good experience 🙂
Found bed rather uncomfortable
Lovely room. We'll equipped
The shower does not have much pressure.
