TAG Resort

We booked the King suite with the direct access to the lagoon and I would never think about the -a lot of- money that this costed for 3 nights basically.
We would also have loved to extend our stay when our boat got cancelled and had to stay on the island longer but with the experience we had we chose to pack our staff, even tho there was availability, book another hotel and move!
I think this says it all!
*EVERY and I mean EVERY phone number you can find of this resort is not working, ever.
We had no way to communicate with the hotel when our boat got canceled and we couldn’t reach the island so we can inform them cause I was stressing we were going to lose the room
When we finally managed to establish some communication through their office in Manila! they told us they have working ours, in a hotel!!!
*Staff is uninterested, never acknowledged our anniversary emails I was sending from before, never looking at you when you’re talking, never acknowledged that we paid thousands and we were not even there for the first night (due to the cancellation I mentioned), also some customers they welcome them with flowers around their neck some not at all
*Food was really not good at the restaurant in general, we tried a lot, breakfast had luncheon from the can(?) and some very very basic stuff. Perfect match to the plastic tables and chairs (in a resort!)

It’s really sad cause the resort as an establishment has really good potential, truly
I guess that’s why the score is so low, but it’s my fault I chose to ignore it

La piscina estaba sucia, el agua de la ducha salia a golpes y pasa de calor a frio constantemente, la habitación no estaba limpia.

1.) D messaging in advance regarding pick up from the airport, I didn’t receive any confirmation until I was on the flight so I wasn’t actually sure if there was going to be someone waiting for us. Fortunately, the van was there to pick us up.
2.) We arrived very early around 10:30am. I am aware check in time was 2pm, but I have asked them to check in early to which the response was “we are fully booked”. So I said, ok please let me know if there are guests who checked out early and inform us whilst we wait as I am 5 months pregnant and have been travelling for 24 hrs. Hours has passed and by 1pm we are still sat in the reception area and no one has bothered to inform us of any information, any welcome drinks. Nothing. So I asked again, this time slightly irritated and by miracle the room was suddenly ready by 13:15. I believe the room was ready for some time but no one had checked.
3.) On our last day, at 06:25 in the morning housekeeping rang the doorbell and tried to open the door when we didn’t even request for cleaning. We were still sleeping.
4.) The breakfast! I’ve read so many reviews regarding the buffet but the food selection was simple inadequate. At least , there was an egg station and pancakes other than that the rest of the food was simply not good. I even asked my husband if we can skip the breakfast and go somewhere else even if this is covered.
5.) The location- it’s a little bit further out from the main town so your tricycle fees were automatically doubled more than usual.
6.) The pool- we did not go in the pool . It looked cloudy and dirty. I did see someone cleaning it everyday but I don’t think it made a difference.

We’ve run through a number of issues during our stay at TAG and left disappointed, we did not expect to have a not so great stay here considering we specifically chose this place for celebration. We were welcomed warmly by a receptionist and provided good information needed during our stay, we had asked if my family would be able to come during the day to use the facilities (for a fee) in which the receptionist had informed us that we were able to do so - therefore giving the green light for my family. My partner and I were very much looking forward to having family time by the beautiful pool (which unfortunately was actually quite dirty) by being given this information, my family came by just after lunch and was very quickly turned away - as well as that, misinforming my family of mine and my partner’s itinerary.
Having requested a few months in advance for a little surprise for my partner (anniversary decor in our room) this was not delivered upon check in, I fact I had to remind them that this was not done - they then continued to resolve the following day - which we appreciated…
My partner wasn’t actually feeling very well upon check in, therefore we chose to order food into our room, food was mediocre at best - fairly overpriced for the quality of the food. Apart French onion soup😍 with the consideration that there as food left over, we expected the housekeeping would clear the plates the following day (they did clean up the room and decorated the bed on our second day) but somehow left dirty plates and food going smelly in our room. I called reception in the evening and waited over 45 minutes for them before heading out again but never showed. My partner and I were awfully surprised at how low the standards are for this resort and the hospitality was average, some staff were so lovely and others not so much, which was extremely unfortunate as this resort has so much potential to be Beautiful and relaxing.

Surtout la piscine impraticable sur notre séjour de 5 jours. Nous avons profité de celle-ci la dernière journée car celle-ci était verdatre (ressemblant à une mare à carnard !!!! ), pas de circulation d'eau et pas de traitements. Le seul dédommagement qu'on nous a proposé est une sortie à 3000×2 pesos par personne et bien sûr à nos frais

Preis-Leistung stimmt hier leider überhaupt nicht. Die Zimmer sind extrem hellhörig – wir hatten im Twin Room eine Verbindungstür und konnten jedes Wort der Nachbarn mithören.

Dazu kommt, dass insgesamt keine angenehme Atmosphäre aufkommt: eher ein Massentourismus-Resort mit wenig Charme und wenig echter Freundlichkeit. Für das, was man bekommt, sind die Zimmer deutlich zu teuer. Weil es hier nur wenige Alternativen im gehobenen Segment gibt, buchen vermutlich viele trotzdem – wir hatten am Ende aber das klare Fazit, dass ein sauberes, günstiges und freundliches Homestay oft die bessere Wahl ist (Achtung nur, dass es nicht direkt an der Hauptstraße liegt).

Das Frühstück war für den Preis enttäuschend: sehr wenig Auswahl, die Salatbar wurde nur sporadisch aufgefüllt. Insgesamt fehlten Qualität, Liebe zum Detail und das Gefühl, dass man den verlangten Preis durch ein gutes Angebot rechtfertigen will.

Wir würden dieses Hotel nicht empfehlen.
