This is a horrible ghetto. I was really surprised. Filth. I would not stay here again. No elevator had to walk up stairs 3 flights as well.
Dulcinea hotel isn't much to look at outside. But that's not why you stay. Inside the rooms and the lobby is the picture of comfort at a very reasonable price. The decor is plush yet tasteful, and the bed is so comfortable that a great night sleep is easy. All this and it's only 5 minutes from Cebu Maktan airport.
Everything was great. Family friendly and quiet. Hotel is on the 3rd floor. Keep this in mind with luggage quantities and weights. Plenty of people around to help. They were more than accommodating. Letting my mother in law stay with us, so she would not have to take the long trip back to the province.
I had to cancel the last two of four days and they wouldn't process refund. Room took two days to cool off. Barking dog noise. Only good thing was massage parlor nearby.
Would stay here again
Cats in the walls
Hotel located on the 2nd floor of a small commercial complex. No lift, so you'll have difficulty if you have a big suitcase with you.
Generally the hotel looks dated quite dark reception area, room was also dated, but it was very big and clean, there were 1 double and 1 single beds.
Breakfast was served on the hotel infront of Dulcinea, good Filipino breakfast.
There was a free water dispenser at the main reception
Free transport to the airport
We were given a room with sea view but there were shanty houses beside the hotel grounds.
Location was few minutes drive from Mactan airport and there was a small mall and few faat food restaurants near by.
Very large room, but not an actual suite!
All the amenities you could require, except an iron.
Great location, 10 minute drive to the airport. Staff were excellent and very happy to help. Your luggage is carried up for you by security guards; please tip!
It's a but misleading as the actual hotel is on the second floor, behind its sister hotel.
The ground floor business units were being renovated so building work going on during the day but not at all noisy and finishes at 4pm.
There's a great massage place on the first floor. I had 3! Very professional and about £12 for a 90 minute feet and body package.
There's a brilliant 7/11 store across the road where we spent nights drinking and chatting to the locals.
5 minutes walk to the large shopping mall and a great, cheap laundry service 5 minutes walk on the same side of the road as the hotel.
The security team were fabulous. spent many an hour chatting to them at night. Friendly and funny and most helpful. Thank you guys, especially the younger one!
It was my first time staying this hotel. They are all great and always working hard to make there guest be satisfied. The staff is amazing the rooms have been comfortable and immaculate. There internet connection was so fast.
I really recommend this hotel for tourist and travellers. They have very cozy and comfortable rooms. An accommodating staffs and very good food. Whenever you need of something they can surely assist and very responsive. True to call an excellent service.
We arrived at 9pm and there was no food available. There is a McDonalds 3 min walk away.
WiFi is poor but we bought data SIM cards at the airport for $17 as we heard internet was poor everywhere. The outside doesn’t look great but the bedrooms are clean and spacious.
Kind and helpful staff carried our bags and they collected us from the airport which is just 10 mins away.
Cebu offers a bunch of other hotels much better than this hotel. Poor product knowledge of staffs, inconsistent with information. Needs review on common courtesy. Supervisor wouldn't even reply to your email. Plus, no elevator, to my surprise. Find a better hotel with more efficient and properly trained staffs.
My wife and 10 yr old son stayed overnight at the Dulcinea because we arrived in Cebu, and had an early domestic flight the next day and wanted to stay close to the airport because we know that the Cebu traffic can be outrageous at times.
The room was clean, but a little run down. The decor is also a little dark as they use a dark cherry wood on almost everything. We saw small roaches, but that's just a fact of life in the Philippines. The hotel is located on the second floor of the building, and there is no elevator. So if you have mobility issues, you'll need to take this into consideration. On the upside, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and they also had a free shuttle to/from the airport. It is also across the street from the Gaisano Mactan Mall, so there are some shopping and food options.
Given the same circumstances, we'd stay overnight again, but no more than a night or two.
Big room. It’s my second time staying here. Just be mindful that if u have a lot of luggage you might need some
Help because the hotel is located on the 3rd floor and has no elevator, but the staff are very helpful in taking care of our luggages. Very affordable accommodations, I will stay here again.
This is a hotel that works hard to be good and it shows. Yes, you walk up two flights of stairs to reach the lobby but we had two staff members carry our bags so this was not an inconvenience in any way.
The staff are pleasant and quick to respond.
The room is large and clean. There is a desk and chairs. The bathroom is large and includes a tub.
They provide a free breakfast and will accommodate your schedule. So many places will tell you their breakfast hours of operation and it's up to you to be there. We had an early morning flight and they gave us sandwiches at midnight to make sure we had food. This is outstanding service!
They provide a free shuttle to the airport. Many places will arrange transportation for you but you still have to pay the cost.
It is close to Mactan International Airport at about 2 kilometers (1.3 miles according to the computer).
The location is also close to the Gaisano Mall Mactan Island which includes a number of restaurants.
Looked alright in the Agoda booking site. They just forgot to mention the hotel is on the 2nd floor and there is no elevator. Not fun to carry your luggages 2 floors up using the stairs.
Second issue. Checking is 2pm. We arrived at 5:45pm and got told our room is not ready. They made us wait 30mins at the reception. Probably double rented it for short term... Had a serious complaint verbally and via email. Just got a very lame apology.
The rooms are good.
The Dulcinea Hotel is useful if you have a layover in Cebu between flights or activities and don’t want to trek into the main city.
Rooms are clean including sheets and towels. There is a safe in the room and a TV with cable. The WiFi was okay but I struggled with a movie download.
Beyond this, there is no other reason to stay here. There are two flights of stairs to climb. and breakfast is served in the room. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the airport for free. It stops at 2am. Not sure the start time but likely 5-6am.
For food, there is the Marina Mall about a 5-10 min taxi (P80) away.
Found this hotel which is about 15 minutes away from the airport. We thought it would fit our needs since we have an early flight back to Manila. At first we were having trouble with the taxi drivers because it seems they are not familiar with the hotel. Upon arrival, you will climb 2 floors to reach the hotel lobby. The check-in was fast, and we were ushered to our room right away. The room was huge and spacious, it can definitely fit one more queen size bed. It has a nice little sofa and a business table and chair. The cr is okay, it has a bathtub and provided enough toiletries. However there seems to be some leakage issues as after taking a bath, the floors got wet and eventually quite slippery. They don't have separate shower and bathtub so we take a bath on top of the bathtub. I noticed that the leaking is coming from the bathtub. Hope they fix this issue.
Our accommodation comes with free breakfast but since we needed to check out early we didn't get to avail it. They also have free shuttle but since they offer it at 6AM the earliest, we didn't get to try it but they were gracious enough to call a taxi for us.
The hotel seems decent, near some restaurants and mall. We might be back here again if we need a hotel near the airport.
This is a great place to stay close to the airport, and if you are flying out of Cebu early or arriving late in the evening is a comfortable and convenient place to stay. The rooms are HUUUUUUUUGE, good water pressure in the showers, big comfortable beds, and breakfast service that is brought to your room. The staff was friendly and helpful, and a shuttle service to the airport is included with your stay.
If this hotel was half or even a QUARTER of the price we paid, it would be totally acceptable; however, the price that we paid for one night at this hotel was not worth it at all. The bathroom was definitely NOT cleaned before our stay, the toilet seat was breaking off, shower very dirty and you might want to keep your curtains closed becuase the pictures they display on the website are nothing what it looks like in real life. As soon as you open your curtains your view is the slums. It is actually quite disturbing. And, unfortunately, though this is not something that they can do anything about, they really should not be charging the kind of prices we ended up paying! The breakfast we “okay”- did the job. The bed was actually very comfortable and felt clean. I have definitely stayed in CHEAPER hotels that are MUCH nicer than this one!
