Pros:

La gentillesse du personnel.
L'hôtel intimiste et superbe.
On y mange super bien pour des prix très raisonnables.
Scooters à louer sur place ce qui est très pratique.

Cons:

Attention éloigné des plages mais on y gagne en tranquillité. Il faut donc avoir soit des scooters soit une voiture.

Hidden Gem in Panglao Island, Bohol
Pros:

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Panglao island but don’t want to stay in the busy beach areas around Alona and Dumaluon. This is a very classy hotel which is owned by a very nice guy from Switzerland which says it all. This place is like a fine Swiss watch. The rooms are very spacious and beautifully fitted out. The staff are brilliant, the food is delicious, and the pool is lovely and clean. Also, they have live music on a Saturday night which is great. I really can’t praise The Mayana Resort enough. We will definitely be staying here when we visit Bohol in future. A tip for anyone staying here… Try the Ostrich burgers and steaks. They’re amazing!

Cons:

It’s very hard to find anything negative to say about The Mayana Resort. But there was one small thing that caused me a bit of an issue. The steps leading down into the pool are pebble-dashed with quite sharp stones rather than the smooth rounded pebbles in the pool surround. I found this uncomfortable to walk on and thought it could be a problem for children using the pool. But like I say, it’s only a small detail.

Pros:

Great Room & Food: The room itself was fantastic and very comfortable. Breakfast was also quite tasty, though the portion size for the meat was on the smaller side.

Cons:

The Good: The front-desk agent (who was pregnant) and the young woman wearing the yellow shirt were absolute stars—incredibly helpful and welcoming.

​The Bad: The rest of the staff fell short. They were often distracted chatting amongst themselves and struggled to understand simple questions. Worse, we weren't notified in advance about scheduled power and internet outages, which made it impossible to plan our day. Management needs to focus on better communication and staff training.

Relaxing in a oase
Pros:

You can choose your breakfast from a menu. The breakfast was great. They present it nicely and it was delicious. The pool is great too!

Cons:

It is still a little bit remote area but that makes you to visit different beaches like cliiff side view, Bohol beach an bikini beach to experience the local life which makes it a plus again!

Cons:

Hôtel excentré, non loin d’une crique mais sans plage. L’idéal est de disposer d’un moyen de transport car on est est loin de tout. L’hôtel est équipé d’une piscine mais celle-ci était inutilisable pendant notre séjour : l’eau était verte, opaque au point de ne pas voir le fond. Pire : ils n’ont pas déconseillé la baignade dans la piscine hormis le jour du traitement de celle-ci, traitement qui s’est avéré inefficace.
Le petit déjeuner est sympa et si nécessaire, le personnel vous prépare un sandwich pour les départs tôt le matin.
Les chambres sont spacieuses, cependant les rideaux ne permettent pas d’occulter le soleil ce qui peut être dérangeant le matin.
Attention si vous voulez payer en CB il faudra prévoir 5% de taxe.
Si je ne devais retenir qu’une chose ça serait la mauvaise foie de la direction qui nous a vendu du rêve en nous indiquant que la piscine était praticable alors que celle-ci était rempli de

Think of a place to stay where you have nothing to ask for,that is the Mayana resort..the room is spacious luxurious and comfortable and super clean..they have a mini bar inside the room,complimentary tea and coffee..daily make up room..and the complimentary breakfast was beyond my expectation..the staffi is amazing u feel at home with those friendly smiles and hospitable treatment
