Perfect for a stop-over before our flight
Pros:

This was a perfect stay before catching our early morning flight the next day. The hotel is conveniently located for the fort area and Galle Face. We arrived too late in the day to use the pool, and left before breakfast the next morning.

All good until we were packing up Surfboards to go to Airport
Accidentally knocked over a Pot Plant whilst helping one of the staff
Manager came and insisted we pay for Pot

Sofia Colombo City Hotel is a wonderful hotel.
Pros:

The hotel is modern and bright.The staff go out of their way to ensure your stay is relaxed and comfortable. The rooms are well equipped with fabulous views. The rooftop pool is refreshing and the views from there, outstanding. It’s centrally located and easy to get to restaurants and sights.

Chaotische Rezeption
Pros:

Das Hotel ist modern, hat eine gute Lage, grossen 25 Meter Pool und der Preis stimmt.

Personal am Pool und an der Porte sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Cons:

Rezeption total überfordert, es braucht mehr Kapazität für Check-In. Mussten 40 Minuten in der Lobby warten und wurden dann vergessen vom Manager. Erst auf erneute Nachfrage wurden wir eingecheckt. Chaotisch. Manche kriegen einen Willkommensgetränk, andere nicht.

Bad war dreckig, Haare auf Boden. Einzelbetten viel zu schmal.

Excellente affaire
Pros:

Un superbe hôtel, bien situé. On peut se rendre au Fort sans difficulté. Un personnel attentionné. Quel plaisir de nager dans une piscine située au sommet de l’hôtel, avec vue sur l’océan. Le restaurant est parfaitement adapté à une clientèle occidentale et ses prix sont raisonnables. On m’a permis d’y aller même après que j’aie quitté l’hôtel.

Cons:

Rien de sérieux à reprocher durant mon sejour.

Pros:

A modern hotel situated in the busy city center. Meets all standards of an A class hotel. Friendly and helpful staff.

Cons:

They are charging for slippers which is unaccepted for the facility which claims to be a 5 star hotel. There was no bathrobe too.

Uitzonderlijk goede klantenservice
Pros:

Vriendelijkheid van het personeel. De manager pramaditha heeft ons uitzonderlijk goed geholpen met onze verloren bagage. Hij heeft zoveel stress weggehaald en nu hebben we onze bagage terug. Verder is het ook een prachtig hotel met heerlijke butterchicken.

Pros:

La piscine et les équipements de l’hôtel, la chambre sont vraiment idéales et sont la vraie plus value de l’hôtel

Cons:

Le personnel, la désorganisation complète de la réception et le manque de professionnalisme. Nous avons attendu 15h30 pour avoir notre chambre et nous avons essuye plusieurs déconvenues : une mauvaise communication « malheureusement votre chambre n’est pas disponible, …ah finalement si », une désorganisation : prise en charge d’un client en check out alors que nous sommes en plein Check in et que nous n’avons pas fini, pas de livraison des bagages dans la chambre ou du moins de communication à ce sujet.
Le buffet du déjeuner au restaurant de l’hôtel est scandaleux. La nourriture est infecte pour un prix élevé. Nous recommandons les restaurants alentours qui servent de la vraie nourriture locale pour moins cher.
Par ailleurs, certains membres du personnel ont une approche trop maladroite en faisant des commentaires aux clients. J’ai eu droit à un « on dirait une petite fille avec cette robe », j’ai 28 ans… c’est extrêmement maladroit… on est pas dans une cour de récré ?

Pros:

The hotel has quite a good and central location, staff are friendly and helpful. I really liked the pool on the rooftop, ver relaxed atmosphere 😌

Cons:

Bathroom wasn't the cleanest, there was hair on the floor and a few old stains, but they were very minor details.

Pros:

Le confort, le personnel très gentil, dès qu’on avait besoin de quoique ce soit ils étaient là toujours avec le sourire. Moi qui ne parle pas anglais, ils m’ont bien guidé. Vraiment alors tout ça Plus, tout le monde était était sympa.

Cons:

Ce que je n’ai pas aimé dans cet hôtel, c’est des chambres, j’étais juste et pour le prix que j’ai payé par rapport aux autres pays, asiatiques que j’ai fait, c’était un peu cher

Super hôtel, vue mer
Pros:

Tout était parfait pour notre première escale de notre voyage, le petit-déjeuner buffet avec un très grand choix de nourritures, tout était très bon. La chambre très lumineuse, propre et confortable. Toute l'équipe accueillante, souriante, aux petits soins, très professionnelle ! Un grand merci au monsieur de la conciergerie et au chauffeur de nous avoir aider à retrouver notre tablette oublié dans l'avion, sans eux nous ne l'aurions jamais réccupéré. Et aussi au monsieur de la piscine qui est d'une grande gentillesse. La piscine est grande et les transats confortable. Nous reviendrons sans hésitez dans ce super hôtel.
