Palais Alcazar

The Palais Alcazar is situated 20 minutes by car from the centre of Marrakech. Don’t be alarmed by the approach as it is located in an area undergoing re-development. Once through the gates, you’ll be greeted by an oasis of peace and tranquillity.

Our room, which was in a Riad, was well appointed ‘though a bit dark. (The ‘photo on the website has been taken with the windows open but they aren’t glazed). The garden has been sympathetically planted with species including Bougainvillea, Madagascan Periwinkle, Brazilian peppertree, Chinese hibiscus and Weeping figs.

We were very well looked after by Hiba, Abdel, Younes, Omaima, Chama and the other staff.

Whilst the hotel may be 5-star by Moroccan standards, it is not by international standards; although, to be fair, the prices aren’t either. It took a number of visits from housekeeping before the heating worked satisfactorily. We never managed to get the TV channels to work (possibly because the TV was not connected to a satellite?) Fortunately, the television was intelligent so we could access YouTube, Netflix and Prime Video.

Our main disappointment was with the dinner menu which was uninspiring, boring and repetitive. The food was not particularly well cooked and expensive for what it was. Alternatives were not really an option given the hotel’s location.

Overall, we had a very pleasant stay, saw a deal of Marrakech and the surrounding country. It is a pity it was marred by the quality of the food.

I had the pleasure of staying at Palais Alcazar in Marrakech, and I can honestly say it was one of the most luxurious and comfortable experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with the most amazing hospitality. The service here is beyond special—you genuinely feel like royalty.

The suite I stayed in was incredibly elegant and cozy, offering the perfect blend of luxury and comfort. Every detail in the room was immaculate, making it easy to relax and unwind. The calm and peaceful atmosphere throughout the hotel adds to the overall sense of tranquility, making it a true oasis in the bustling city of Marrakech.

What really stood out to me was the exceptional staff. They are so helpful and always ready to assist with anything you might need. The receptionist even helped me plan out a detailed itinerary of the best places to visit, which was a huge help.

And let’s talk about the food—The breakfast and dinner were absolutely delicious, with top-notch service that made dining a real treat. The pool area is also a dream—quiet, serene, and the ideal spot to relax after a day of exploring.

I couldn’t recommend Palais Alcazar more. It’s the perfect place to stay if you’re looking for a luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable experience in Marrakech.

Very good hotel in Marrakesh. The suites and the pool area are amazing. The staff is very kind and helpful. If you need, they have a transfer from and to airport, which is very important. It’s a good option if you come to Marrakesh. I loved it :))

This was the best hotel I ever stayed in Marrakesh! Just 15 minutes from the city centre it was the perfect balance to relax and enjoy this beautiful city! Breakfast is so complete , they have Marocco option or international option. The pool is fantastic and the decoration of the hotel is stunning. A special thanks for all the staff who was so friendly and helpful. I will come back again for sure.

Struttura extra lusso, nuova, talmente nuova che ancora non è adatta alla recezione turistica, anche se il manager si è reso disponibile a risolvere i problemi trovati( riscaldamento non funzionante in una stanza della villa e nella zona comune, assenza di una reception vera con personale fisso, cucina in fase di allestimento) il contrasto tra l' immagine, la qualità degli arredi, gli spazi ampi e la posizione nel nulla purtroppo, condizionano il soggiorno. La colazione viene servita a buffet in una struttura vicino, meravigliosa, Hotel Palais Namaskar (Marrakech) ma è raggiungibile solo con un taxi, offerto dalla struttura stessa. Un grazie va al Manager, disponibile e comprensivo.
